With the hot summer months and fun gatherings in mind, James brewed a refreshing wheat beer with an exotic kick. This beer is smooth and light bodied with the delicate flavors of hibiscus.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a somewhat clear golden color. The head is a fluffy two finger white shade. I love the lacing it leaves behind, definitely. S: Thereís a lot of wheat on the nose, to the point where it overpowers any other notes (such as the advertised hibiscus). Iím not a fan of the aroma. T: The flavor profile works better. A light fruitiness gives way to wheat-laden finish, spiked with some cream. I couldnít tell you what hibiscus tastes like, but thereís a distinct floral quality on the back end. Itís pretty decent all told. M: Extremely creamy and soft, typical of the style. However, the general texture and finish is too heavy; even with the aid of strong carbonation, it gets in the way of drinkability. O: This is now the 4,365th different wheat ale Iíve had from Sam Adams - and just like the others, this one is pretty middling. Pleasant, though.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, light grassy malt with light hibiscus acidity, light musty character, OK. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light orange notes, light mineral notes, light acidity, OK if a bit tired.

Yellow with a pretty thin head. Sl floral / perfume nose. Pretty sweet on the palate like a macro lager. Could really have used as bit more bitterness.

12 oz bottle: Aroma has got a nice wheat nose, bread, slightly grainy. I donít know what Hibiscus flower smell like, but it does have a slight floral aroma. Appearance is a cloudy orange pour with a medium white head that diminishes quickly Taste is grainy wheat, and actually quite interesting. I donít really know how to explain it. Just that itís quite good. Palate is medium to low carbonation in the mouth and a lingering wheat aftertaste. Overall, Quite nice. Cheers!

It poured a lightly hazy golden color with a white head. The aroma was of hibiscus and floral notes with a touch of wheat malt. The taste was similar and a little dry. It had a light body with crisp carbonation. Nice.

S - Sweet wheat malt, grainy and bready, honey sweetness, floral and grassy hops. T - Starts off with grainy backed wheat, grassy hops, lemons, some chalkiness in the middle, doughy bread, light bitterness. Finishes clean with hints of lactic lemon tartness. 12oz bottle (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 41į. Color is a deep gold with a slight haze And good carbonation that gives it a small soft head. Aroma of honey and a bit of fruity hops. It has a lighter medium body with a creamy mouth feel. Flavor is wheat that comes across sweet with a hint of white pepper, a light fruit note and the hibiscus showing on the end. In the after taste the sweet lingers giving it a honey taste. Overall its a nice, easy drinking brew with a unique flavor palate.
