Created by Samuel Adams Employee Carissa Sweigart. Brewed with ingredients signature to Carissa’s home of Massachusetts this Cranberry Wit is spiced with a blend of cinnamon, orange peel, coriander and grains of paradise, and finished with a touch of cranberry. This bright, fruity and refreshing brew is reminiscent of an autumn day in New England.

Cloudy orange body with a foamy white head. The foam has good retention and leaves some nice lacing. Somewhat light aroma with cinnamon and coriander present along with some earthy notes. Soft palate with surprisingly high carbonation. The flavor is a bit more robust than the aroma. Malt, wheat, citrus, and spice. Only a hint of cranberries. Finishes rather clean. A decent beer, if not very exciting.

"this was an interesting beer, although not one of my favorite SA offerings. like the blackberry wit...fresher on tap most likely, but i won’t find that here, so all in all, a refreshingly unique, but just about average, beer experience."

On top there is a small (one finger thick) off white head. It quickly settles down to a thin ring of foam that leaves behind some lace rings on the glass. Its aroma is fruity, spicy, and tangy with notes of wheat and citrus as well. The flavor has a nice wheat malt base with orange citrus notes, tart cranberry and solid dose of fine Saigon cinnamon. Hop favor and bitterness are very mild. It finishes dry with wheat tang and spice. The texture is lively with plenty of soft carbonation in a medium body.

Bottle purchased in a Las Vegas liquor store. Hazy amber beer. Short lived suddy white head. Orange and cranberry dominate the soft dry palate. Spice is here to. Would have preferred more fruit and less spice. Okay.

aroma, cinnamon, criutsy fruity nose, color, hazy golden amber hue, frim white head taste, spice on the front, mild cinnamon, orange, almost like cranberry bread, slight bitter cranberries. overall, mush better that the cranberry lambric which I was afarid this would taste like, good stuff.

Bottle:   Dark straw, cloudy, large foamy white head, rather nice lacing.   Looks tasty.   Cranberry nose, tart, otherwise berryish on the side of unripened.   Has a sort of mountain blueberry hint as well, moreso the plant and not the berry.   Pale fruitiness, much less cranberry and much more sweet.   Not as tart as suspected.   Can’t get over the flavor as it seems to me to be somewhat sweet, more blueberry than cranberry, and a bit like the bush and less like the berry.   Yeah, has that air of a Blueberry bush.   As for the wit portion, feels wheaty but anything wit related is killed by the sweet fruitiness.   I must say, better than I expected.   Not thin, certainly feels wheaty on the tongue.   More fruity and less spritzy than I thought.   Nice work!   Cranberry ey?
