Commercial Description:
Bruce describes his classic German-style lager as "pale gold in color with a blend of Pilsner maltiness and a mild hops aroma. The bitterness is just enough to balance the taste of the malt." Bruce is a former music teacher who began homebrewing 13 years ago when his wife gave him a kit for Christmas. He has since become an accomplished homebrewer and shares his knowledge and passion for beer by teaching classes in homebrewing and beer appreciation.

Clear orange body, white head. Honey and grain aroma with hops. Smooth palate but rough, alcoholic flavour.

33 cl bottle, Fargo. Crisp gold colour, faint malt and hops aroma. Sharp bitterness that evens out nicely, long dry finish. Quite nice.

12oz bottle. pale gold in color. nice white head. light cascading bubbles. bready, grassy aroma. tastes like a hopped buttered biscuit! very chewy texture. This is a very well rounded beer. medium to heavy bodied but still refreshing. What a great beer!!

Bottle. I thought this was a damn fine beer. Pretty golden color with lively carbonation. The aroma was offresh slightly skunky hops. The taste was smooth and dry with those same slightly skunky hops coming thru at the end Refreshing.. A little too sweet but really not that bad. This beer was so fesh and so clean, clean.

Bready aroma with a hint of fresh churned butter. Nice light toffee flavor with some pleasant herbal hoppiness. Overall, refreshing and the aftertaste is nice.

Golden pour with a rocky, yet short lasting white head. Yeast and grassy aroma. Taste is pretty agressive for this style. Earthy, hay, bisquit towards the middle. Sweet finish. I like dortmunders and this is almost as good as Thomas Hooker.

I bought the mixed 6 pack simply in order to try this. Wonderful , huge aroma with great clean malt driving forward and a little bit of grassy and citric notes in relief. The flavor is a very similar experience. There is a lot of rich pale malt flavor which you find in the best of this awesome style, coming across with a geat deal of sweetness. The hops hit at just the right time, making this beer wonderfully balanced. I assume this is pasteurized, like their others. I can’t imagine how great this would be if it were not. Overall, reminds me of a richer version of Dominion Lager.
