12oz bottle poured into a Snifter at 41°. Color is black with mellow carbonation and a very small tan head. Aroma of molasses and coffee. It has a bolder medium body with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor is deeply roasted with coffee and some caramel ending with a light bitterness. In the after taste the flavors turn to a paint like taste. Overall its not a very good Imperial Stout, flavors come out a bit odd.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a totally opaque dark brown (almost black) with a thick, rich chocolate head. Nose is roasted grain and molasses. Taste is not totally stout-like, but is well balanced and delicious nevertheless. I get the normal stout chocolate and dark, rich coffee characteristics, but there’s also the tart, sweet malt, vinous and high ABV emblems you’d expect from a barleywine ale. This is great stuff!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a pitch black with medium dark tan head, decent lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, coffee, and herbal hops. Flavor matches well and is actually a pretty decent surprise. Solid impy stout, but nothing special. Can’t think of a better deal on an impy stout.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thick black pour with a nice tan head.
Aroma is cocoa, nice dark roast maltiness. Some dark fruits coming on in flavour. Dryish, bakers chocolate through middle. Brandies cherries in the finish?

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Just a hint of roasted notes for an aroma. This beer pours a beautiful opaque, thick black, with a full tan head. This beer is full of roasted notes, with a slick mouthfeel, and a touch of bitterness in the finish. The finish is long, with hints of coffee and chocolate. This is a solid Imperial Stout, and I’d like to see this come around full time.

Pours black into a Sam glass. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Chocolate, vanilla and sour pit fruit aromas. Medium bodied with espresso and metallic chocolate upfront turning to mild charred pot fruit in the lasting finish.

A black beer with a medium brown head. The aroma is chocolate and a little dried fruit. The flavor is roasted malt and bittersweet with a twang of alcohol.

Bottletosnifter.Thick black pour, fair head with a froth ring and some lacing dark tan/brown.
Bready malty aroma, sweetness, some fruit, milk chocolate, pretty complex really, some yeastiness, dry dark roast maybe some woodytones.
Taste is very smooth thick, malty, has a sharp hopness or dark malt that melts into a smooth roasty-milkchocolate,with sweet maltiness, some mild fruit tones, bready creaminess and finishing fairly hoppy and with dry/woody roasted malts but with smooth sweetness of carmel malts, cherry milk chocolate and slight coffee but more of adark roastyness than coffee.Has a bit of old yeastish taste and saltiness in there. I like the balance in this and it has a good bittering in the finish, leaving chocolate and roast /cherry tones lingering also.Except for an old yeast taste,it was pretty nice.

Snifter from bottle. A: roasted dark chocolate, slight alcohol. App: super dark brown, not quite black. Frothy, medium dispersing head, hazelnut in color. T: alcohol up front, a slight dark chocolate in the middle, alcohol on the back, with a bitter cocoa aftertaste, with a touch of plum. P: bubbly for a stout, smooth with an alcohol bite at the back.

A little thin for a stout, but it did have a nice roasted malt aroma and taste.
Some notes of nut, bread and dark fruit were also detected, not bad.
