2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ScoWRee (347) - Perkiomen, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 23, 2011Pours a clear golden color with a thick, white, foamy head. Arona of wheat. Tastes of slight citrus a hint of vanilla. I’m not sure what Lavender tastes like. I do know what honey tastes like. I didn’t taste it. This was very good for a home brew.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 OKplus (355) - Oklahoma, USA - MAY 8, 2013
A - Clear golden body with 1 finger of eggshell head that melts to form a tight ceiling.
S - Honey and lavender right off the top. A good base of cereal and pale malt.
T - Spicy floral lavender punch with lots of honey flavor. The lavender turns more herbal and woody towards the back. Pale malt holds good ground. Finishes dry and peppery.
M - Medium body, very soft feel upfront turning prickly toward the finish.
This manages to highlight the lavender and honey without underwhelming or overdoing it. Very balanced beer. The aftertaste is like honey herbal tea. Well done.

12 ounce bottle into hefe glass. Light lavender scent not soapy. In the mouth light ale flavor hint of lavender.Finishes with mild hops.lavender not overdone or soapy add a light note (you have to look for it a bit but it’s not hard to pick out either) to an otherwise competent sipping ale.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Onenote81 (1002) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - APR 23, 2012
Originally reviewed: 5/6/11. Last beer of the lot to try. Poured into a pint glass. Pours a dark gold with a thick white head on top. I expected a different shade to this given the ingredients. Some faint lace left behind. Nose is fruity with notes of pomegranate, honeysuckle, and just faint whiffs of lavender. It definitely doesn’t knock you over the head. I thought this would be more lavender-soap like, and I am happy to say that it is not.
The mouth is very bubbly and effervescent, though not harsh. I’ve already been surprised by this beer, is more surprise in store? The flavors on this beer remind me of an APWA, more than an spiced beer. Again, I like that it is so. Lots of wheat background with just the subtle markings of lavender on the palate. Fruity flavors wash it out on the finish. I was really impressed with this beer. It was the one I was least looking forward to in the pack, but it is the most surprising, and might actually be my favorite. More Honey B’s, please!
