COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zack Adams’s Magnificent Seven IPA is described as “a showcase of seven American hop varieties that impart a big piney and lingering resinous flavor. A true Imperial American IPA, this brew pours a rich bronze color. The slightly sweet malt character is pleasantly balanced by a pronounced hop bitterness with grapefruit, pine and earthy notes from the American hops. This medium-bodied IPA also delivers caramel, citrus, lemon and piney aromas.

Bottle in KC, shared by jcnielsen. Grazie! Pours a dark orange appearance with a tan head. Somewhat grapefruity citrusy, a bit spicy piney, light chemical, a bit toasty malty nose. Slight candy, orange fruity, lemon, somewhat spicy, toasted caramel malty flavor. Another from this LongShot series six pack that is a disappointment.

Bottled. Poured clear, fiery orange with a sticky beige head. The aroma picked up juicy redder fruits and citrus with dusty earth and peppery spicage around. The flavor found semi-sweet fruit and caramel notes at the core, with spicy pine, redder fruit, and grassy bitterness around.. resiny and bitter on the long finish. Medium-bodied with moderate-plus bitterness on the palate.. soft carbonation on the middle.. good stuff.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a dark cream head. Big grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine resin flavor with caramel. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and caramel linger with raisin and pine.

This was supposed to be the stand-out in this Longshot batch, but all I got was a bunch of hops with no real direction and no focal point for the different flavors. Not that much better than the hordes of other IPAs with random hop additions.

Pours clear deep coppery gold with a tall, lasting, sticky, off-white head. good hop aroma. Citrus with some resiny pine. Bitter flavor with some underlying juicy malt sweetness. Cheers to Sam Adams!

12 oz bottle from a six pack. Pours almost clear copper with a cream-colored head with good retention that leaves some lace. Aroma is bready, caramelly, perfumy--not the type of aroma I look for in an IPA. Taste is bittersweet. Tastes more like a barleywine than a DIPA. Has a lingering bitter cough drop flavor. Oily mouthfeel, average carbonation, full body. Not for me.

Deep amber body, off-white head, soapy lacing. Big resinous profile with a fair bit of malt clouding things. Medium to full bodied, slightly boozy, moderate carbonation and bitterness.

Aroma- Piney and resinous. Appearance- Reddish amber, almost no head. Taste- Moderately bitter with a medium-dry finish, although there is a slight hint of some lingering caramel notes on the back end. Palate- Smooth, medium bodied with some warmth from the alcohol.

(12oz bottle thanks to swalden28) clear copper, soapy tan bubbles. Nose of faded hops, candied citrus peel, ruby red grapefruit. taste of grapefruit, lightly bitter, bit roasty that I think i’m just confused about, malty backbone and finish.
