Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, dark berry, sugar, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (130608)

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden brown with a lacing tan head. Dry raisin/caramel malt aroma. Spiced flavour with a special malt base of dark toffee and dry raisins. Ends with the same lingering dry malt base and only a vague bitterness.

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, metal, over ripe fruits, and caramel, leading to a dry bitter and alcoholic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle. Clear orange coloured with a small off white head. Aroma of dried fruits, alcohol, caramel and prunes. Sweet flavour of dried fruits, burnt sugar and liquorice with notes of alcohol. Warming alcoholic finish. Too alcoholic.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Clear orangey brown with a beige head. Aroma of overripe fruit, burned caramel and alcohol. Quite a full body with plenty of burned caramel, overripe fruit and even some sherry accents. A little low in carbonation. The finish is dry. Very delicious. 130608

Draft. Poured clear dark reddish brown color with full light brown head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Moderate aroma of caramel, nuts and troasted malt. medium to full body with sticky texture. Medium sweet balanced flavor with a medium sweet finish of long duration. My expectations were met.

Bottle poured a clear mahogany with a large lasting ivory head. Aromas of dark fruit, molasses, carmel and toffee. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of sweet malt, carmel, toffee, brown sugar and a hint of fruitiness with a smooth lingering semisweet finish.

(12oz bottle) Medium beige head atop crystal clear copper body. Aroma is medium sweet, raisin/plum, caramel, some cinnamon. Taste is sweet, caramel, molasses, raisin, light cinnamon. Sticky full body, alcohol hardly noticeable for the ABV.

A reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. In mouth, a sweet caramel and raisin aroma, nicely vinous, with nice alcohol warmth. In mouth, a light vinous malt, with honey, molasses, and light alcohol in finish. Medium bodied. A winner! Bottle at 11th Annual CNY Brewfest, Feb.5 2007.
