Samuel Adams is bringing you Maple Pecan Porter. A nutty syrupy porter that just reeks of New England.
Sweet New England maple syrup and a distinct pecan note define this balanced porter. The roasted character of our blend of malts complements the maple sweetness with hints of coffee and chocolate. Reddish-black in color, this full-bodied brew has a sweet and slightly nutty finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with amber highlights. Thin tan head. Nose is loaded with maple and roasted malts. Taste is of dry pecans, maple, vanilla, and roasted malts. Hints of dark cocoa and coffee grinds. Dry finish. One of the better Sam Adams I have had.

Sweet notes of coffee and toffee, perhaps a touch pecan. Deep brown to black with a beige head. Sweet with only a small touch of any maple character, mostly roast flavors. Medium bodied with a sweet finish.

Pours a deep dark brownish red with a foamy tan head. Aroma of toasted coffee and deep maple. Taste is sweet and syrupy with a tremendous after flavor of maple syrup and toasted nuts. Slightly bitter offset. I could drink a six of this before moving on to something else. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown with amber hues. Maple and pecan on the nose and palate. Medium sweet. Medium body, good carbonation, thin oily texture and a light bitter sweet finish. More of a brown than a porter.

12 oz bottle: Aroma is malty, slightly nutty, with a real subtle maple note to it. Slightly smoky, coffee, and dark chocolate. Appearance is a coca-cola like consistency with a medium tan head that actually lingers around for quite a while. Taste is sweet, got a real nice malt backing, maple come through more in the taste. light pecan, light coffee, and chocolate cake. Palate is medium to low carbonation with an aftertaste that is rather clean. Overall, Nothing really special just a nice beer. Cheers!

Samuel Adams Maple Porter has a thick, beige head, a dark reddish-brown, yet fairly clear, appearance, lots of streaming bubbles, and a good amount of splotchy lacing left around the glass. The aroma is of brown bread crust, pecan shell, and maple syrup. Taste is of sweet, brown bread, brown bread crust, sugary syrup, a slight nuttiness, and some mild bitterness at the middle and end of the sip. The mouthfeel is pretty light and watery, but it does have some body, and Samuel Adams Maple Pecan Porter finishes semi-dry, refreshing, and drinkable. Overall, this is another pleasant beer from Samuel Adams, and I am glad I tried it. RJT

~Sweet aroma of maple and chocolate bread and a nuttiness. ~Pours a clear mahogany brown with quickly disappearing head. ~Nutty flavor with sweet maple and roasty chocolate notes. ~Medium bodied, High CO2. Lingering sweet nutty aftertaste. ~Enjoyable porter. Interesting. Carbonation is way too high and has a CO2 bite.

Bottle. Cola-colored brown with a dense, foamy tan head. Aroma is nutty with soft maple syrup notes, caramel and sweet malt. Light earthy notes as well. Taste is soft maple syrup, caramel, soft nuttiness, earthy hops, chewy malt and light maple candy notes. Body is medium with a soft, dense, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more maple candy, sweet malt, chewy caramel, light nuttiness and hints of chocolate covered nuts.

12oz bottle. A rich and sweet in your face maple caramel porter. Toasted pecan character shines through. A really enjoyable dessert beer, but way too sweet and one dimensional to session on. A cool one for the mix pack a dumbed down version of what the craft beer industry is capable of, not one I’d revisit.

Bottle: Strong aroma of roast, smoke, earthy, nutty, and a little chocolate. Really a great smell. The sweetness of the maple comes through in the flavor, along with roasty and nutty notes. The sweet and the smoke gets a little funky in the tail, but overall I enjoyed this.
