Samuel Adams is bringing you Maple Pecan Porter. A nutty syrupy porter that just reeks of New England.
Sweet New England maple syrup and a distinct pecan note define this balanced porter. The roasted character of our blend of malts complements the maple sweetness with hints of coffee and chocolate. Reddish-black in color, this full-bodied brew has a sweet and slightly nutty finish.

Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and maple aromas. Espresso, maple syrup, roasted grain, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and toffee flavors. Medium carbonation level. The mouthfeel is smooth but a bit thin. Overall very tasty.

Bottle poured a clear rddish brown with a lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, cocoa, maple, pecans and carmel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, maple, pecans and light roastiness with a smooth lingering nutty maple finish.

Bottle. Pours a ruddy brown with off white head that dissipates, but nice lacing. Aroma is interesting mix of toffee/chocolate with maybe some maple and nut coming thru. Taste is roast malt, followed by hints of chocolate, light roast coffee and a slight maple syrup aftertaste. Nice lighter winter porter.

Bit of a surprise. Assumed the maple would dominate but it's the pecans that jump out. Coffee notes of course but the maple is underneath it all pretty well balanced. Better than anticipated ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Got at Krogers on Broadway with the seasonal 12-Pack. Dark Brown. Long, tan head. Aroma: Maple syrup, malt. Flavor: Maple dominates, chocolate with Pecan backing. Nutty finish. It shocked me with flavor the second it hit my mouth. I never had a beer with breakfast but this or a Rauchbier would be my choice if I was to do so. This may be the most unique Sam I have ever had.

Brown with ruby accents and clear, so-so head, lace is ok. Aroma is precisely as advertised, maple and pecans, plus roasty and toasty malts, quite porter-like. Taste is a bit less impressive, but is pleasant nonetheless. The maple is prominent, the pecans less so than in the aroma, but still there, plenty of roasted malts, sweet brown sugar, some chocolate sweetness, not a lot of hops. Feel is a bit syrupy, lingering sweetness and roasted malts, a little maple. Overall it’s good, but gimmicky. Sam Adams best beers tend to be more simplistic and straightforward. A good sampler pack selection tho.

Bottle. Tried this in the Sam Adams Spring Thaw Variety Pack. Out of six varieties, this was definitely the stand out. I expected it to be too sweet, but I was happily proven wrong. p.s. The posted alcohol percentage is incorrect. Its actualy 6.5%.

Reddish-brown pour with a lightly, tan head. The standout aroma is coffee, but it also has some nut, dark chocolate, mild caramel. It has a medium body with a creamy and slightly sticky texture. The taste is very sweet, but then is finished with some slightly roasted nut flavor.

Deep brown with ruby highlights, short tan head. Maple and pacan aroma, as advertised. Rich pecan flavour...pecan pie.... Slight coffee tones..nice carbonation. Excellent.
