Pours a very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Good flavor profile, I can taste the roasted malt of this porter along with the maple syrup and nuttiness from the pecans. Full bodied with creamy mouthfeel and a somewhat sweet finish. I enjoyed this.

12 ounce bottle from Hayduke. We had it together via facebook chat. The pour is dark brown with red and it is pretty much clear despite the dark hue. A smallish tan head. The aroma is big chocolate with some nuttiness. Maple comes in after those. I taste milk chocolate with caramel, maple, nuts, and a little astringency. Some light coffee roasted notes appear late. This is quite sweet. No hops are found anywhere.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 badhack (175) - San Jose, California, USA - MAY 13, 2013
Lovely looking beer, with a nice nutty flavor but it was sweet and gave me the impression of added syrups.

This brew tastes just like what its name suggests. The maple comes through once cracking open the bottle. The pecan is there in the flavor too. I sweet beer that is good for a dessert.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Nephilium (1151) - Ohio, USA - APR 27, 2013
Aroma is sweet maple, and roasted nuts. Pours a very dark brown, with a light tan head. Very sweet flavor, with maple very forward. The nuts come out a little in the finish, but the predominant characteristic is still the maple. If you like sweet beers, you’ll probably enjoy this one more then me.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 kmweaver (3143) - Santa Rosa, California, USA - APR 26, 2013
UPDATED: APR 27, 2013 12oz bottle, courtesy of Boston Beer. Thanks! Pours a deep, hazy cola-brown color; modest light-tan head with patchy lacing. Effusive maple syrup and nutty sweetness in the aroma; as advertised. Medium body; medium, fine-bubbled co2; following the nose, lots of maple-syrup stickiness and residual sugar here, without much of a robust porter backdrop to carry things; assertive in the maple-syrup category, but overly sweet. Lasting maple sweetness; improperly balanced.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 UncleKorm (253) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - APR 26, 2013
Bottle poured a dark brown hue w/ a tan head. Big aroma of maple, pecans, roasted malts and chocolate. Initial flavor is moderate sweet with a light bitter finish of short duration. Tastes are maple syrup, malted chocolate, and coffee. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, creamy mouthfeel, and sweet maple finish. The beer delivers on its name, not too sweet but this is a dessert beer for sure.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Metalchopz (1747) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - APR 25, 2013
Came in their Spring Thaw pack, purchased at Shaws in Montpelier, VT. Dark brown colour with a beautiful creamy beige head, good retention and very thick lacing. Roasted malt aromas with the maple syrup. Same for the taste, very well-blended not to be too sweet. The pecan nut comes in the aftertaste, creating a little tart. This is a nice flavoured beer for spring.
