On tap at the Yard House in Portland. Aroma is boozy and bready. Flavor is definitely a sweet gingerbread flavor. Has a bit of a stale licorice taste to it. Feels a bit chalky.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from Wilbur’s. Appearance: finger dark brown to copper head, dark brown, opaque, Aroma: ginger, chocolate, spicey hops, malt. Palate: full body, average carbonation, creamy texture, light lingering ginger taste. Taste: sweet malt and chocolate, into a gingersnap cookie sweetness, with just enough of a hop backbone to balance it out, finish is ginger spice. Overall, very nice balance, lovely seasonal, ginger is amazing in this beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample @ Bier Baron. Deep brown with a small head. Aroma of chocolate and ginger snap cookie. Strong ginger. Brown sugar. Flavor is a little more nuanced than the frankly blunt aroma suggests. Mellow coffee and roasted pepper. Caramel wafers. Slightly spicy peppered ginger finish. Medium body, soft carb.

Bottle. Inky black with large spongy tan head, aroma not so prominent, low carbonation, slightly sweet roasted malt taste with nutmeg, caramel, ginger and clove flavors, long finish with mocha aftertaste. Quite sweet, leaves a sticky feeling on your lips. Interesting concoction!

Clove and chocolate aromas. Appearance is jet black with an average sized brown head. Flavor has notes of cloves and ginger. No heat from the ginger. Smooth roast character with notes of chocolate. Hop bitterness is medium. Balance is slightly towards the bitter side. Mouthfeel is medium light. Overall, it's descent beer. Could use more body and ginger.

A- Cinnamon, nutmeg, roasty, ginger, caramel, malty, cloves.
A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, off white head.
T- Cinnamon, nutmeg, spices, roasty, malty, cocoa, caramel, coffee.
P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty spiced finish.
O- I had two beers before this one. An Oatmeal Stout and a Gingerbread Ale. Had I mixed those two together, this is what I would’ve gotten. A perfect blend between a stout and a spiced ale. Not a wower for me, but a pleasant surprise for sure.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2015 Pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma of gingerbread nutmeg brown sugar and other Christmas spices. Taste mainly of the Gingerbread and sweetness very little hop character. Medium on the palate. Overall very good very little alcohol tastes even though high ABV. As it warms up the gingerbread becomes more pronounced.
