3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cookie spices in the nose. Flavors of holiday spices, gingerbread, caramel, and sugar coated walnuts. Nice and warming. Only issue is a weird, overly sweet lingering finish. Overall, a good holiday treat.

It was time to finish up this Christmas beer. Good aroma, sweet Gingerbread. Rich malts, big spice, nutmeg, clove, ginger, not getting the cinnamon so much. Brownish black color, good initial head. Faded to a foam cover, spotty lace. Sweet flavor. Heavy body, creamy oily mouthfeel, sweet bitter finish. Very nice

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark brown pour settled into a near black liquid into the glass, and the head above that was khaki in color, and two fingers thick. The smell of the beer was very malty and had aromas of cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. The smell wasn’t particularly like gingerbread, but the taste was a little closer. The ginger was heavier in the taste, and the malt was most like brown sugar. There were also flavors of cinnamon and nutmeg in the taste, making it more complex. than the cookies. The wheat in the malt was also evident in the bock like bready flavor. The label mentions cloves, but those were not easily detectable for me under the other spices. The mouthfeel was a lot thinner than most stouts, and the finish had some lingering spice. This beer was nice winter seasonal.

This brew has a great holiday aroma with a lot of gingerbread essence. The flavor is strong and spicy but is just a little too medicine tasting. Not sure if I got a bad bottle as it doesn’t blend well. Has great potential though.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sweet and fruity aroma, lots of pumpkin with cinnamon and nutmeg. Deep chocolate color with a thin tan head. First taste isn’t that great, but finishes with gingerbread spiciness.

Black with brown head. Smells like gingerbread. Taste is much like gingerbread. Notes of roasted malt, cinnamon, molasses, cloves and nutmeg. Rich and sweet. Nice taste but not exactly my cup of tea.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is a pretty solid stout. Definite Christmas spices in the aroma and body but blended very nicely. A good solid body hides the strength just enough. Tasty, but can’t have too much. For sharing.

Great spice aroma with lots nutmeg an cinnamon. Spicy taste with ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg really coming through. Very easy to drink, not a heavy stout by any means, very enjoyable brew.

Christmas gift that I would never have purchased due spice beer palate phobia. To my surprise this an enjoyable brew...
