COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This rich dark gingerbread stout entices with the aromas of the holidays. The flavor of gingerbread comes alive, beginning with the smooth sweetness and heartiness of dark roasted malts and a touch of wheat. But itís the intensity and spices of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, & ginger that add a wicked kick for a jolly playful brew full of merry mischief.

Bottle:   Nearly black, large frothy dark beige head, nice lacing.   Bright cinnamon/nutmeg spices, also a strong gingerbread cookie aroma.   Super strong.   A bit of a pine like foresty flavor profile, along with the aformentioned gingerbread.   The heavy spices attack the back of the throat, almost seems to burn a bit.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finish is strong with spices, and loads of gingerbread.   Can be a bit overwhelming at times.

Nice tan foamy head with flat dull black appearance. Smells strongly of clove and nutmeg with a bit of sweetness, not bad. Tastes of spices and sweet malt, definitely a lot of cinnamon in there. A bit over-carbonated at the beginning and dry/bitter on the end. Itís decent and you definitely warm up to it after you get used to the cinnamon overkill.

Aroma comes across faintly sweet and dry like a tripel. Color is dark dark oily black with a gingerbread colored brown head. At first the flavor is dark coffee but after a few sips the spices start to jump out. Not sure if I get a gingerbread taste but definitely makes me think of spiced Christmas cookies. Decently complex but the dark roasted malt overpowers a lot. A good beer to try but a bit dark and roasted for my tastes.

Black color with tan foam. Nice spicy gingerbread cookie, clove, nutmeg, allspice, chocolate, dark roast aromas. Smooth rich mouthfeel with soft co2. Gingerbread cookie, clove, nutmeg, allspice flavors with a rich, malty chocolate, dark roast base brew--very good

Pour out of 500 mL bottle, dark thick oily black pour with nice creamy mocha colored head, lots of carbonation streaming at first but subsided. Aroma brought notes of nice ginger, cinnamon, chocolate, roasted malts, hints of earth, touch of grainy notes, tiny bit of cookie notes. Taste is basically a spiced stout, some fairly nice roast, coffee, and dark chocolate tones mix with some slight earthy ginger, cinnamon, and clove, some slight caramel, grainy tones, finishing fairly sweet but dries out with the roast at the end. The mouthfeel was pretty nice, but was just slightly lacking in depth. Very tasty, and no sign of the 9%.

Dark obsidian pour with a small latte head. Cocoa, slight coffee bitterness and a nice combination of holiday spices. Flavorful, assertive but not aggressive. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger are all there. Caramel sweetness as well. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty solid!
