COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This rich dark gingerbread stout entices with the aromas of the holidays. The flavor of gingerbread comes alive, beginning with the smooth sweetness and heartiness of dark roasted malts and a touch of wheat. But it’s the intensity and spices of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, & ginger that add a wicked kick for a jolly playful brew full of merry mischief.

Bottle. Very dark brown pour, almost black, with a tan head. Quite a lot of spice, sweet sugary malt, cinnamon, nutmeg, light clove, and a bit of chocolate. Somewhat like a sweet, spiced cookie, but overall just a marginal spiced stout.

Pours very dark with a brown head that disappears quickly. The body is less than I expected. The aroma is mild and gives no clue to what is coming. The ginger bread taste is phenomenal and mixed with lots of roasted malts and other fall spices. This is a great drinker for me.

Bottle. Pours very dark with little head. The aroma is mild with some spices coming through. The body is a little thin. The taste is pretty intense with flavor. A solid offering from sam adams and an overall good holiday seasonal beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fine spiced stout. Not as much depth or body as I expected. Strong notes of cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Could have used more ginger or some molasses.

Bottle shared by Blipp at tasting at my house. Pours black with tan head. Nose and taste of ginger, nutmeg, roast chocolate malt, cinnamon cookie, anise and doughy malt. Some flavors intermingle in away that resembles gingerbread - a little bit. Mostly not. Still, good beer. Medium body.

Bottle on Thanksgiving. Darkest brown pour with a medium tan head. Aroma of cinnamon, ginger and roast. Malty flavor with ginger, cinnamon and anise before a chocolate finish.

This beer pours black with a tall tan head. The aroma is cinnamon and gingerbread cookie dough. The taste is malty sweet with cinnamon and nutmeg. The roastiness provides a nice finish. Overall, an interesting and tasty beer which is very like raw gingerbread dough prior to being baked.

Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head with medium retention pancakes and recedes to mottle surface. Nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger aromas. Medium bodied with dark caramel and ginger upfront turning to chocolate and cinnamon in the lasting wintery spice finish.

pours black, with milk chocolate color thick head. Earthy cinnamon and spices nose. I’d hoped for a more distinct aroma. Medium thick body, the spices show nicely on the flavor, a hint of heat from the spices. A decent offering.

Pours a dark brown with a fizzy 2-fingered brown head. Smells of caramel, ginger, clove, baking cookies, coffee. Taste is bitter and sweet, nutmeg, ginger, chocolate malts, hint of vanilla, clove, and coffee.
