Bottle. Deep brown almost black. Nice big, brown foamy head that quickly disappears. Aroma is gingerbread. Taste is also gingerbread sweet. Almost too sweet. Very light notes of chocolate and cinnamon.

Pours nearly black. Aroma of gingerbread is present, little to no head. Seems mild to under carbonated. Taste. Taste is a mix of almost burnt tasting malts, overdone clove and ginger. Itís almost gag inducing and very unpleasant for mouthfeel. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to see if it was too cold. Gag inducing taste is still there. Finished about 1/4 of a 16 oz glass before drain pouring the rest. Save your money for something better, because a pint of this stuff isnít very merry at all.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks Alex. Pours brown with a tan head. In the nose: gingerbread, chocolate and spices. Moderate sweet with touches of ginger, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and chocolate with mild roasty bitterness. Medium-bodied. Nice beer.

Aroma of cookies with ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and a bit of chocolate. Sweetish flavor with chocolate, cookies, spices, some roastiness in the background and a bitterish finish. Medium to full-bodied. Decent.

On tap at MacGregors. Not bad, it went down fast. Ron informed me I had not had this yet, thanks Ron! Enjoyable but it wouldnít be my 1st choice to try again. Lots of spicy ginger/clove.

22oz bomber poured into a snifter. Thereís no doubt this is a gingerbread beer from the aroma - itís the dominating scent. Thereís some vanilla (reminiscent of a "frosting" scent) along with some jujyfruit/gumdrop aromas (mostly cherry and lemon-esque) followed briefly by faint whiffs of alcohol. A near opaque red/brown body is topped by a generous, fluffy, brown head - which recedes, although a decent layer remains throughout). The lacing is of small bubbles which mostly cascade without much remaining on the glass. An initial dry, alcohol taste is the first greeting of the liquid in the mouth, but this blends into the dry gingerbread sweetness, and shortly thereafter, a very light citrus (lemon) sour. Thereís also a mellow bitter presence in there, but I canít quite pinpoint it aside from the tongue feel. Itís a medium-full body beer thatís mostly flat - although some carbonation comes through more as it warms - with a creamy texture. The finish starts out as toasty and chocolaty with a mellow butter and nutty quality to it. After awhile longer, the gingerbread taste is what sticks as the prevalent aftertaste along with some hoppiness (really the first time the hoppiness reveals itself - there were maybe some hints earlier in the initial taste, but itís washed out by the sweetness and malt flavors); although itís tough to say what I think of it - syrupy sweet gingerbread plus mellow bitter hops. This might be a well constructed beer, but itís a bit too sugary sweet for my preferences.

Sampled from a 16.6 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick and black with an enormous fluffy dark brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was malty with a bit of vanilla, gingerbread and fruity hops. The flavor was toast and malty with notes of gingerbread, cinnamon, anise, vanilla, port wine and fruity hops. Medium length finish of toasty malts and gingerbread. Medium body and smooth. Decent.

Black pour tan head. Clove cinnamon bread chocolate aroma. Creamy chocolate cinnamon clove spices taste. Thick body little carbonation.

Poured a very dark brown, almost black, with a large tan head. Aroma has lots of ginger, cloves, and oatmeal. Nutmeg and coffee as well. Taste is full-bodied with a good amount of creamy chocolate flavors. A bit too much clove. Nice cinnamon flavors with ginger. Roasted malts are slightly nutty. Aftertaste has more clove with other spices and milk chocolate. Overall tasty, but the spices are a bit unbalanced.

Nice and robust. A strong body which masks the alcohol with sweet chocolate, roasted, caramel flavors. Just a bit of spice at the finish.
