Daaaark pour, smells like ginger bread, spices and everything Christmas. First taste tosses your pallet around, second sip you really get the ginger bread flavor.

Bottle thanks to PiKapp327. Interesting aroma. I'm not really a fan of gingerbread and this has A LOT. Doesn't look too bad, though.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft. Black in color with a small but lasting thick tan head. The aroma has gingerbread, anise, and roast. Fairly rich. The flavor has dominant gingerbread and menthol, good but a tiny bit weird, as well as anise and roast. Medium-plus sweetness. Very smooth, slick, and full mouthfeel with carbonation on the lower side. Nice brewski.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Heavy malt aromas of dark bread and cookie, light to moderate herbs for the hops and dough for the yeast, with nutmeg, cola and well,,,gingerbread cookies. Head is small, frothy, light brown with fair lacing and good legs and is almost fully diminishing. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is medium to full, creamy with a soft carbonation and a moderatley alcoholic finish. Iím not a big fan of the gingerbread, but itís somewhat subdued which makes it a very enjoyable Spice Beer for me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 4, 2013 To me the spice both in the nose and the mouth is as much clove as it is anything else, and I am not the biggest fan of that scent or taste. Itís also a bit on the watery side when I like my stouts to feel almost like a milkshake. These complaints aside, though, itís a nice balanced brew. You read "Gingerbread Stout" and assume some sweetness, so if thatís what youíre in search of, be aware that itís far more spicy than it is sweet.

The four fingered head quickly overflowed the tulip glass despite the careful pour. The body is black.
Well, it smells like a ginger bread house with some cinnamon on top. So it nailed that.
The taste is some roasted malt with gingerbread and a mild bitter. Fairly mild overall.
A crisp texture with moderate carbonation and medium body.
Itís an interesting idea and it smelled good but it came up a little short in the gingerbread beer concept.

Pour from a 22oz bomber. Inky dark brew with small tan head. Aroma of ginger, sweet malt, nutmeg, other spices. Taste is sweet up front with lots of ginger and mulling spices. Finishes a little dry with (surprise!) a lot of ginger. Really solid seasonal with all the trimmings, though a bit heavy on the spice, especially ginger. (Nuthing wrong with Ginger but I like Mary Ann.)

Quality brew - the nutmeg and other spices really are the main story here. Head lasted forever.

Ginger, lemon, cranberry or pomegranate. Dark black pour, creamy head. Thick looking with legs. Toast and coffee in the taste in addition to the ginger/gingerbread from the aroma. A Sharp bite late. A nice holiday beer.....too bad I didn?t try it until almost February. I think this is more of what the old fezziwig ale should be.
