Bought at Liquor Shed. Now relabeled as Merry Maker.
Gorgeous looking brew in the glass, pitch black with a 1 finger head of tan foam, nice lacing.
The name fits as far as the smell goes. Ginger Bread! I get some nice roasted malt notes too.
Ginger bread and roasted malt in the taste and Iím starting to dance, lol. Tasty, smooth as all dickens, no sign of the alcohol, did I mention tasty? This is a great brew to drink for the holiday season, I reckon.
I already mentioned how smooth it is so that has the mouthfeel covered.
Ahh...very VERY nice!

Pitch black with a dark brown foamy head with no carbonation and sparse laci. Smells like gingerbread, cinnamon, cloves, caramel and molasses. Strong ginger taste with some chocolate, cinnamon, roasted malts & barley. Body is thick with some mild carbonation. Alright but kinda bland flavor.

12/30/2012. 22 oz. bottle. A very nice Winter beer. Sweet aromas of spices, dough, dark roasted malt. Sweet fruity flavors with spices. Rich and robust. Great seasonal beer.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2013 This is a good beer. Great smell. Black as fuck. Excellent taste. All around great. Their best stout for sure.
-------& Original rating based on 2013 Merry Maker. Just had a Batch 1 Merry Mischief and it is quite different. The gingerbread smell is better than ever. Thicker on the tongue. Good both ways. I have another bottle of Batch 1 that I have been saving to drink with some friends.

Nice stout color. Has a spicy gingerbread flavor that is a bit overpowering but works well if you only have one glass.

(bottle) clear very dark brown colour with a medium tall tan head; aroma starts with soy sauce, then roast, dry dust, finally smoked fruit; balanced flavour, a bit on dry side, with spices and minerals, with a long light bitter finish; somewhat thick palate

Bottle. Im partial to gingerbread because it brings back a lot of great memories. Not a humongous fan of gingerbread but this is a great blend of aroma, taste and stout. I am going to get more for Christmas time.

THE YANKEES SUCK!!! This poured a tarry black with a trim off-beige ringed head. Tastes and smells of gingerbread, purťed butternut squash, nutmeg, tobacco, and wildflower honey. Joey I think liked this too much. $6 for the 500mL bottle purchased from town.

Bottle: dark black-brown with a tan/brown head. Aroma of gingerbread... Mollassas and nutmeg. I could sniff it all day... Wonderful. Flavor is nice... Great winter beer. Itís sweet but still letís you know that itís an imperial stout. Wonderful gingerbread flavor that doesnít overwhelm the beer. Mmmmmmm.
