COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This rich dark gingerbread stout entices with the aromas of the holidays. The flavor of gingerbread comes alive, beginning with the smooth sweetness and heartiness of dark roasted malts and a touch of wheat. But itís the intensity and spices of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, & ginger that add a wicked kick for a jolly playful brew full of merry mischief.

Batch 1 Black pour with a thin beige creamy head and light sticky lacing .... Aroma of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove with some dark chocolate .... Taste of mostly ginger, clove, nutmeg and cinnamon with a nice spicy roasted chocolate has a bitter bite ..... Body is thinner and way too spicy. ... Not feeling the gingerbread aspect too much or the beer

Very impressive. rich roasted and toasted flavors with huge spices but not overwhelming. Very sweet balanced by bitter roasted malts. Nice thick body and creamy mouthfeel. Low co2. Slight booziness. The spices are there but modest which is great.

22 oz bottle pours a dark brown color with a small white head. Aromas of ginger, nutmeg, roasted malt. Full bodied, a very nice Christmas beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smells great! Looks great! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.... And then the Grinch comes in and steals what had the beginnings of a wonderful treat. Very thin for a stout and the ginger just didn't mesh well with the rest of it. Seems more like a winter warmer and someone tossed in crystallized ginger and shook McCormack nutmeg, etc on top. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tried the Golden Road Gingerbread stout and LOVED it. I had high hopes for this beer but overall disappointed. The stout itself just wasn't very good. Too bitter for my pallet. The gingerbread flavor was lacking and not strong enough for me. Would not purchase again, but might try again to see if it was the batch. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown/black with a thick. coffee foam. Roasty sweet malt aroma. The gingerbread flavor comes through without being overwhelming. Nice Christmas beer.

My boys picked this to let out for Santa this year. Nice choice, itís a good holiday stout. The gingerbread flavors truly come through. Deep brownish black in color with creamy cocoa colored head. Drink up Santa!

On tap at Yard House 221214. Ginger and spice in both the aroma and flavour. Poured a deep black. Decent.

Spice, yeast, dough. Pours black with a thick dark tan head. Smooth. Spice. Clean finish. Not as boozy as I would have thought but just a nice warmth.

I greatly admire the execution of this beer, but it isnít for me. While all the spices make for a magnificent aroma, the gingerbread flavor didnít quite work with the roasted malt taste. Not for me, anyway. I suspect a lot of people might like the combination of rich malt and holiday flavors. Appearance was quite good, and the balance works nicely. The 9% ABV is well-hidden beneath the body. And did I mention the smell is fantastic? It really is like a holiday potpourri.
