3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cranberry juice color with a small beige head that quickly dissapates. The aroma is somewhat fuity but not in a hoppy way, there is also some mellow malt notes. The flavor matches the aroma and comes off a bit watery. There seems to be some very faint vanilla on the finish but aside from that there isn’t any wood notes to speak of. Smooth texture, not bad but not great.

Transfer from BA reviewed 1-19-12 -
Poured from bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance – A beautiful golden-red color forming a billowy tan head. It hold for ~ 1min before fading to a thin wispy foam with a very light bit of lacing on the glass.
Smell – Oak and sweet malts first are present. Some vanilla and the slightest bit of caramel come through at the end, rounding out to be a very pleasant odor.
Taste – The slight caramel sweetness is present up front, but then is hit with some oak flavor and a bit more maltiness. The oaky maltiness takes hold and lasts until the end of the flavor experience where an ever so slight bit of vanilla sweetness works it way in and lingers on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – Smooth and a little lighter on the carbonation make for a easy drinking brew. Nothing exceptional in the body, but quite pleasant and easy drinking.
Overall – A nice brew with some interesting qualities. Get the oakiness without the overbearing alcohol flavors of many oaky beers. Not too shabby.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rated on 01-14-2012. This bottled beer pours a small frothy, very fizzy beige head that mostly diminishes, orange body, fast rising, fizzy carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, oak, vanilla, and earthy hops. The flavor is caramel malt, oak, vanilla, and light bitter hops come through at the end. The mouthfeel is lively and this beer is light-medium bodied. This is an easy drinking beer with the vanilla and oak coming through as the beer kept getting warmer.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Pours light orange amber color with a thin wisp of white head that lasts. Smell is oak and sweet malts with some vanilla and the slightest bit of caramel. Flavor is chewy with some nuttiness, a hint of caramel. some wisps of vanilla and just a brief hint of bitter citrus in the finish. Slightly heavy and overly carbonated.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Not good. Reminds me more of a bad cream soda than a bad beer. Either way, doesn’t work well. More vanilla than oak and very artificial tasting. Skip this if you come across it.

Bottle courtesy of friend Chris the Beer Whisperer. Malty aroma, sweet, sugary, Lighter sweetness in the flavor, with not much memorable, oak barely there, just an unremarkable amber ale.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy fine to medium sized off-white colored bubbles that were and left behind a typically carbonated light orange brown colored body. The aroma was nutty and brown malt. The crisp and clean mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The balanced flavor contained notes of brown malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. I found it to be very much like a Fat Tire.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle and served in Imperial Pint glass: Pours a reddish amber hue with a nice foamy head and left good lace upon glassware. The aroma has notes of caramel, toffee, vanilla bean, wheat bread, slight grassy hop and light woody esters. The taste is smooth malty richness backed up by a light handed oak character. Very faint noble hop bitterness found at the very end. Quite simplistic beer with not much complexity. The mouth feel is soft and smooth with a slight tannic finish. It is okay, you could do worse.
