3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from the bottle, aroma is malty like a draft Sierra. Flavor is similar very malty, some hop character. Maybe citrus hops. Not bad, comparable to most pale ales. Doesn’t finish to dry. Cloudy pour, decent lacing.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Monks. Clear pale gold pour. Large frothy white head. Semi-dry floral pale ale. Yeasty aroma. Light citrus fruit flavors. Lemon pie. Thyme. Dandelions. Very full carbonation for the style. Better than expected.

2.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a light-to-medium gold with a thin creamy head. Nice floral nose at first that mellows into a yeasty, thicker aroma. Creamyish, sticky mouthfeel. Not much depth overall. Yeasty, mild flavors. Moderately carbonated.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a thinnish off white head, with minimal lacing, over a clear, golden body.....nose is cereal malts, light hop spice.....tasste is light malts, light fruit (pear, apple), slight sweetness, finishing with a light bitterness.....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation adds a minimal tingle. This is an under hopped, lightly malted American Pale Ale. This is an old recipe and as such shows the tremendous evolution of American brewing. BJCP 7/3/12/4/7

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Fairly basic pale ale, lagerish. Yellow bodied with a small amount of white head. Medium mouthfeel. Very mild bitterness. OK drinkability. A small cut above a macro beer.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is bready with a small bitter hop. Flavor is some bland malts with not much of a hop profile. Not much to grab you with this one. I’m sure back in the day this was groundbreaking but the craft beer world is always improving.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has notes of bread and cereal with just a bit of grassy hop notes. Flavor is similar with a good amount of bread and cereal with just a touch of earthy grass hops.

3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from local store. Golden color with thin head. Not much of a smell detected. The taste is spicy with mild hops to it. It seemed to have citrus. This mouthfeel. But this wasn’t a bad beer. Refreshing actually.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Slightly hazy, golden honey coloured body with a large, white head about three centimetres tall. Aroma of yeast, citrus, basement, hay, grass, herbal notes and a tiny bit of hops. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive metallic flavour with a grassy, herbal note and a little bit of yeast - almost nothing else of value in the flavour though. Aftertaste shows some metal, grass, malt, bitterness and almost no hops. Overall, very disappointing and not really worth sampling at all - this beer doesn’t show any characteristics of an APA or any retro or old-world style recipe might have. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 24-February-2013 for US$1.34 sampled at home in Washington on 15-March-2013.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Flowery, bitter aroma. Flavor is mild, with a little grassy hops. Not awful, but nothing special either.
