Bottle. Deeply golden, average white head. Sweet and biscuity, with a peachy fruit character and a medium bitter finish that dries things out. Not bad, not great either. I’m not sure how I feel about this beer. I think I was let down a little. I don’t know. It’s late.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Solid beer. Poured a clear effervescent dark yellow. Aroma is light citrus, crackers. Super mellow, super low key. I imagine drinking this in the days when America was more of a beer desert would have been like sipping ambrosia from the gods, but as it stands now, the beer is a nice reminder of how far the beer scene has come.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours an almost clear golden straw color with one finger head that leaves small to moderate lacing. Aroma initially of toasted malt, followed by a very surprising mild hoppy grapefruit presence. This is fantastic. Medium body with mild/moderate carbonation that is not to strong with creamy mouthfeel. Long mildly bitter finish. This is a fine ale.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from the bottle, aroma is malty like a draft Sierra. Flavor is similar very malty, some hop character. Maybe citrus hops. Not bad, comparable to most pale ales. Doesn’t finish to dry. Cloudy pour, decent lacing.

2.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a light-to-medium gold with a thin creamy head. Nice floral nose at first that mellows into a yeasty, thicker aroma. Creamyish, sticky mouthfeel. Not much depth overall. Yeasty, mild flavors. Moderately carbonated.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a thinnish off white head, with minimal lacing, over a clear, golden body.....nose is cereal malts, light hop spice.....tasste is light malts, light fruit (pear, apple), slight sweetness, finishing with a light bitterness.....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation adds a minimal tingle. This is an under hopped, lightly malted American Pale Ale. This is an old recipe and as such shows the tremendous evolution of American brewing. BJCP 7/3/12/4/7
