Bottle. Pours an ultra clear pale yellow color with a fizzy head that fades quickly. Aromas are corn malt, straw, and some light fruitiness. Taste is moderately sweet corn malt, like many macro brews. The fruitiness, which tastes a little like fruit loops, helps to make it a little better but not much. Finish is crisp and somewhat satisfying. Not my kinda beer really.

There really isn't a better way to describe this desirable beer than well-balanced. Malty notes match the hoppy character to carry a brew that is enjoyable throughout the year. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle. Golden pour, thin white foam. Aroma of green grains, pale malts, straw, earth. Heavy barley malt flavor. Tastes of pale grains, bread, cereal, leather, earth, grassy hops, light toast, some nut flavor, distant citrus zest, and lemon. Very simple, layered flavors. A nice Pale Ale. Tastes like an early American Pale

Hazy gold pour with a 1 finger, creamy, bright white head that ahs good retention. Aromaa of citrus and planty hops, biscuit, toast, starchy grain, cereal and fruity yeast. Nice cereal and slightly sweet malt notes up front in the flavor, planty, floral an light citrus hops, bready and fruity yeast. Fairly nice, creamy entry, medium, sharp carbonation and dry finish with a slightly chalky feel and odd acidity that seems to linger for quite a while. Not bad, the heavily planty hop notes and weird acidity bring it down a bit, but other than that it’s a fairly clean, inoffensive APA.

For such a simple beer from a simple recipe, it’s surprisingly good. Malt side offers some light toast and bread, with a decent amount of richness. Bitterness is mild yet balanced. Gentle hop aromas of flowers and herbs. Very easy to drink, balanced and sessionable. It’s humbling how far we’ve come since the time when this beer was first brewed ... and at that time, it was a giant leap from what was currently available.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark golden color with a very small head. Nose is a little hoppy, but seems slightly skunky, too. Taste is slight. Not a lot of flavor. Meh.

Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle pours a clear golden color reminiscent of a lager or pilsner. Aroma was malty, less hoppy. Honestly I think this is an attempt by big "craft beer" to tap into a smaller market. Taste was bland and no distinct or indicative of the American Pale Ale label. Would not recommend. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
