Yellow with a white head. The aroma and flavor are nearly identical and are quite bland. I get some grass and grain notes, as well as a hint of biscuit malt. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not sure if it was a bad bottle or if this beer is just not for me, but this was quite disappointing.

12oz bottle poured into a tumbler glass. Clear golden color with a small white head. Fruity nose with hints of citrus and apricot, and some bready malt. Sweetish malt flavors, with light caramel, baked apples, honey, medium bitterness and faint alcohol notes. Medium body, quite balanced but not very crisp. OK.

A satisfying, refreshing beer. Sweet mashy grain aroma. Pours hazy, rich golden with a frothy white head. The taste is like a steel reserve without the alcohol but not neary as danky. This reminds me of a classic american beer before everything went light pale lager. In a way its nostalgic and good.

Clear gold with lots of visual carbonation and a frothy off white head. Sweet citrus and malt aroma. Smooth medium body mouth feel with a little spritz from the carbonation. Excellent hop/malt balance. A Slightly dry lingering finish.

Bottle at BTBF. Pours with a lightly hazed golden hued body with a white head. Aromas are floral, bready, biscuity, low esters and light citrus. Flavors are bready, grainy, floral. Lightly spicy, almost coriander like, citrusy malt character. Nice toasted and dry malt base. Medium bodied.

Really decent pale ale. Lots of hop character to it. Looked really nice in a glass with the bright golden yellow. Will look at getting more of these next time I am at the store.

Mild malt aroma, pours a clear light straw with a thin white head. Very mild betterness, with some fruit coming through from the malts. Lingering fruit finish, without much bitterness. Light on the palate and thin mouthfeel. Not a bad beer, but there’s a lot better out there.

12oz bottle pours a clear golden yellow with a large frothy white head. Malty aroma, with grains, yeast, and grassy hops. Taste of mild caramel malts, grains, slight lemon, honey, and light hops, could be more smooth. Not much of a pale ale, more of a pils/lager.

12 oz. bottle pours a clear golden color with small white head and minimal lacing. Not much to smell. Aroma has some lemon, grass, grains, and faint citrus hops. Body is light to medium. Mouthfeel is crisp with lively carbonation. Taste is almost nondescript. This reminds me more of a kosch than an American Pale Ale. Although this might be an historicallty important recipe, it doesn’t do much for me. I’ve enjoyed many less expensive Sam Adams beers more than this one. Not bad, but recommended only for students of American brewing history. I will not try another 6-pack of this.

Pours hazy yellow. Not much on the nose, just a hint of lemon. Not much going on here. A small taste of wheat and lemon followed by some bitterness. More like a filtered wheat than a pale ale.
