3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
There are some hops in this fairly clear light-colored beer: floral, piney notes in the nose. Sweetness and bitterness in perfect balance on the tongue and a subtle remembrance of the piney notes when it's gone. Being a good red-blooded American and Texan, it tastes close to what I imagine would be the platonic ideal of beer: balanced, drinkable, indeed, quaffable in large proportions. It tastes good without being too complex. A fine beer if not particularly compelling. A bit too hoppy to enjoy straight from the bottle.

OK and easy drinking but not a lot going on here in terms of aroma. Pours golden with foamy initial head and no lacing. Light grainy and sour finish. Bottle from Chevy chase.

Among the best lager beers I’ve drunk. Very well made beer. Good job Jim Koch!

Rather intense grassy hop aroma for a pilesner, which is good. A bit hazy, goldoen color. Some bitterness. Quite okay.

Poured from bottle. Thin white head, golden orange. Pleasant citrus aroma. Surprisingly hoppy, grapefruit, crisp. Bitter, spicy finish. Pretty good for a pilsner.

My HEAVENS, what an AWFUL brew. Just bought a sixer for the very first time & I can honestly say that this foul mess ranks right up there with Icehouse, Busch, and several other distinctly forgettable beers.
There are several really good brews that are produced by Sam Adams, but this is definitely NOT amongst them. Even something like Dos Equis lager leaves this one in the dust, and I’m amazed that anyone would want to waste their $$$ trying this swill.
Whew! Simply a bad taste, NO nose, and nothing whatsoever that would make me want to try this one again.
I once worked in a hospital laboratory for almost 5 years. And this Noble Pils stuff takes me back to those very fotgetable days when I played in buckets of tee-tee on a daily basis.
Guess it would be OK if you’re stranded on a desert island & have absolutely NOTHING else to drink except this foul stench. But I really gotta say that I’m most certainly gonna add this one to on my Brews to AVOID from now on.
As always, Beer Buyer BEWARE

Lätt dimmigt halmgul med lite skum. Aromen citrus med lite kåda. Smaken bitter a la pilsner, dock med en oangenäm bismak. "Rätt" beska saknas!

Pale yellow white foam. Mild sour with a hint of hop in the aroma. Malt, sweet with mild bitterness that grows.

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a medium golden color with a thin pure white head of very fine bubbles. The head gives way over time to a very persistent layer of white foam on the top of the brew.
Smell – Citrus aromas mixed with a bready base are the most noticeable. There is an ever so light floral and pine aroma as well that mixes with the bread and citrus.
Taste – A drier bready taste is the first to meet the tongue. This is quickly meet with some nice citrus hop flavors of lemon and grapefruit, bittering the crispness a bit. In the middle of the taste a lighter piney taste comes onto the scene only to leave again. While the pine leaves there is a light earthy and grassy flavor the mix with the bread and the citrus producing a nice drier hoppiness on the tongue at the end.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is a bit on the lighter side with the carbonation being a little bit on the higher side. The body and carbonation are good for the brew as they create a crisp refreshing flavorful brew.
Overall – I purchased this as a part of the Sam Adams summer sampler pack, which is the perfect place for it. It’s a flavorful easy drinking beer which is great for a nice summer day outside .
