4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
"Noble hop growing regions" is just a marketing tool. You have aroma hops and bitterness hops, based on their chemical composition, "noble hops" do not exist, despite what you may have read in your favorite homebrew book. The beer pours a nice clear golden color, there is a slight hop aroma. The taste is full malt offset by a lot of hop character. Sharp bitter aftertaste. This is quite a good beer, although somewhat extreme for my taste. Somewhere between a downscaled micro or a souped up German Pils. Nonetheless, compared to all the insipid lagers available nationwide, a great contribution to the beer landscape. Would like to see it available year round!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tons of bubbles rocket up through a pale orange-yellow beer, perfectly clear, topped with a nice, clingy head of white foam. Very, very nice. Grassy hops rule the nose, balanced by a light breadiness and a noticeable sour yeast character. The flavor has all the character of pilsners I’ve had in Germany: bright citrus hops dance around with some notes of sweet light lemon and pineapple. I even get a little taste of sticky icky weed which adds to the beer and works great with the other flavors. Surprisingly full-bodied, with lively pepper bubbles. Silky body. This is one killer pilsner.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle pours a clear golden with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel and honey malt, sweet with faded lightly grassy hops. Taste similar to aroma, no yeast and lacking crispness. Seems more like a pale ale, I remember really liking this and thinking it was an outstanding Pils. I don’t know if this was bad bottle, bottle indicates far from best by date, or they changed the recipe.

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2015 Savory biscuit with subtle spice, lemon and raw onion. Very crisp and clean. A nice representation of the style.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
35.5cl bottle from Systembolaget. Best before 2014-12-01. Golden colour with a medium big white foamy head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is fruity with notes of hops, honey, pine and bread. Some spice and grass. Flavour is a tad rough, yet with some sweet notes. Grass, honey, herbal, spices. Not much hops. Some bitterness after a short while. Bit short aftertaste. Overall a suprisingly good beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle at home from notes. Pours a clear yellow/gold color with a larger white head that lasted. The aroma and flavor had pilsner malt, grassy hops, herbal notes, lemon citrus, straw, and pale malts. Light bodied, easy drinking beer. For what it is, not too bad, I am not a fan of the style though.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle in San Juan. Golden color, small white head. Cut grass, light sweet maltyness in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Grassy German hops in the flavor, light maltyness. So and so but probably goes with food well.

Pretty bland and forgettable. Perhaps it was old stock, because it was at a suspiciously low price.

Crisp and refreshing beverage but with a somewhat funky herbal and spicy hop character dominating the otherwise rather mild flavor and aroma.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a amber color with a medium white head that left a lot of lacing around the glass. The aroma is floral hops, slight citrus, earthy, grassy, and some mild faint spice. The taste is more of the same and very well balanced. There is a very mild hop kick to round it out.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 oz brown bottle into a pilsner glass
A: Clear golden with a small head in the cold glass. Not much retention but great lacing. Not much visible carbonation.
S: Pine. Little else. Maybe a little cardboard malt trace.
T: Similar to the smell but pine not as dominant. Sour bread present to counter the piney herbal hop taste. Flavors meld very nicely. Pretty good balance and distinctive good taste.
M: Fairly thick or so it seems for a pils. Just enough carbonation to dance around the tongue.
Sticky and chewy and substantial. Maybe not as "sessionable" as you’d expect from a pilsner but so what? Very good!
O: Really good pilsner from Sam & Co. There’s stuff in there and quality stuff. One of the best I’ve had in the style. I drink this occasionally and will continue to purchase it.
