Bottle from The Pot Still, Glasgow (355ml, £3.00):
Sweet with some grassy hops, some lemon notes and light hops plus a touch of citrus and lemongrass. There is some apple too and overall the beer is light and sweet on the nose.
Clear bodied with a golden amber colour and a thin, foamy white head on top that holds relatively well.
Light malts and a touch of citrus to kick things off, this is all followed by some basic pilsener malts and hops. The beer is crisp with a light bitter finish.
Smooth with some light medium carbonation and a similar body, there is a citrus tang and the beer is crisp, refreshing and light bitter at the end.
Not bad really, it was light and refreshing with nice sweet touches and a nice mouthfeel. The taste was a little light but it went down easy enough and had a pleasant, summery feel to it.

This is another fruity and refreshing beer from Sam Adams. Nice and hoppy and citrusy. Has a slight bitter finish.

complex hop profile slightly citrus and pine at the same time. nice simple malt base makes the hops really come through

There are some hops in this fairly clear light-colored beer: floral, piney notes in the nose. Sweetness and bitterness in perfect balance on the tongue and a subtle remembrance of the piney notes when it's gone. Being a good red-blooded American and Texan, it tastes close to what I imagine would be the platonic ideal of beer: balanced, drinkable, indeed, quaffable in large proportions. It tastes good without being too complex. A fine beer if not particularly compelling. A bit too hoppy to enjoy straight from the bottle.

12oz bottle, from Party Source. Best before May 2013. ABV labeled 4.9%. Clear golden color. Thin kind of bubbly white head. Little lace. Medium body. Good smooth carbonation, not too strong. Reasonably dry finish. Bready aroma, lightly peppery, biscuit. Hint of honey. Lightly spicy, more herbal hop. Lightly bitter taste, some sweet. Solid, smooth pilsener. Nothing to complain about here. Was good to enjoy with my toasted sub.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Decman (21) - Dublin, IRELAND - APR 23, 2013
A delightful, delightful beer. Sam Adams Noble Pils pours a crisp gold, with a fuzzy white foam. There’s a delightful fruity aroma replicated on the palate (hints of apples, bananas - sweetness in general) and a lingering, bittersweet aftertaste with a touch of creaminess. Highly recommended, if a little gassy.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 wildbeercat (120) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - APR 22, 2013
12 fl oz / 355mL bottle into a Blue Moon glass. Served cold.
Aroma: All I’m picking up is a little sour yeast and malt. Not a lot of hop in the aroma, but it’s not an offensive smell.
Appearance: Transparent gold. Soapy head lingers a little bit but disappears into nothing.
Taste: Malt is the most apparent flavor, backed up by some mild citrus and hops. Flavors are all pretty mild though.
Palate: Smooth, crisp, not watery, but light-medium bodied. A liiiiiittle bit of lingering flavors.
Overall: Not bad, just not much here that attracted me.

Noble Pils pours a pale golden with a firm head of medium to small bubbles. Nose is grass and some odd spice. Taste is crisp, clean and just a little green apple on the finish. finishes cleanly. body is just a bit lively.
2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Leonardus (5) - - APR 20, 2013 does not count
Disappointment plus. As a pils, fail. As an easy to drink average tasting beer, just gets there. Pours nice, good head, but rather cloudy. Unusual taste, I see someone mentioned ’banana taste’ yes, I would have to agree, a banana flavour detected. yuk. There are better pils brewed here in NZ.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TomTron (296) - Aiken, South Carolina, USA - APR 19, 2013
Pours a clear yellow with a sudsy head. Aromas of grass, yeast, and some bananas. Flavor is full of earthy hop bitterness, yet finishes a tad watery. For a pilsener it’s solid, but as a beer it’s just glorified swill.
