2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Fairly rich, slick, caramel, bit of a dulling effect, lightly bitter which is appropriate, like a juniper amber ale. Nice juniper aroma, fruity. Seems decently made.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
To be fair, I’m sure it’s a very good close recipe to a Sahti. With the herbal sweet tea like taste it seems as if it is need of more bitterness and aroma.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours deep amber with a small white head. Aroma is sweet, some juniper and a bit of an herbal character, lots of caramel and a touch woody. Flavor starts with tons of caramel and some of that woodiness, sweet and a touch spicy in the finish, a bit bready. Medium body and a sharp carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Ruby pour on tap with a little bit of foamy head. Aroma is lacking overall. Really unique beer - slight saltiness with a spiciness that opens up with the juniper flavor profile. Definitely worth a taste.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at Proof - Pours a sparkling medium copper with an off white head, good sticky lacing. Aroma has a slightly fruit bent to it with some hints of cherries. Flavor is nutty with some muted citrus, some earthy notes, a hint of herbal tea. Thick enough mouthfeel. Decent.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Well, always happy to see these around.. Pours a deep copper .. medium headring .. very light lacing .. . very medicinal, dry twigs, juniper, and earth .. . decent bitterness level .. . nice stuff but nothing i’d ever ever buy again, was also hoping the juniper would come out more .. . . it doesn’t matter how you find the pot of gold b-to-the-ryan, all that matters is that you beat the leprechauns ..

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
5/17/12. On tap. Clear amber pour with a small khaki head. Interesting aroma of almost pie spices with a certain sweetness. It reminds me of brown sugar on sweet potatoes. More bitter and less satisfying flavor that reminds me of grass or roots. Interesting.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Bigels. This beer poured a clear deep mahogany and had a smallish head. Lots of rye in this offering with dark fruit and ices. Alcohol gets in the way a bit. Rich malts and some citrus show off nice complexity. Tasty and interesting.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a ruby brown with nice white head. This beer is all about the juniper. Light smokiness and spicy, medicinal notes. The malt and hops all plays a nice supporting role.
