MrBeerFanatic (344), jamestown, New York, USA Aug 31, 2009 Pours medium bodied amber with a quickly fading off white head. Aromas of caramel, barley, grain, and a touch of toffee malts. Flavor is of grains, caramel, with a touch of toffee and hop. A little bitter with a touch of sweet. VAAC (29), Middlebury, Indiana, USA Aug 31, 2009 Beautiful looking beer. Aroma of bread and malt. Flavor is typical of the style. gringo332 (236), Richardson, Texas, USA Aug 30, 2009 Nic matlyness. Aroma is kind of tight but there are is a creamy sweetness that comes through. Taste is of your caramel and a little bit of vanilla. Like the description says its sweet but not overly. Well balanced. Flavour is pretty solid all the way through. jport4087 (73), Pennsylvania, USA Aug 30, 2009 Updated: Sep 5, 2009Great value for the buck. Pours a beautiful amber. Great taste with tons of caramel. fata2683 (836), Panama City, Florida, USA Aug 30, 2009 bottle, pours light brown medium off white head. Bready malt aroma with some almond skin and yeast notes. Bready almost rye malt backbone ends with a bitter and sour finish that is more sour than bitter. Not that bad. harbuck76 (127), El Cajon, California, USA Aug 29, 2009 12 oz. Poured into .5 liter dimpled mug .Pours a bright amber with small white head. Aroma is malts -carmel malts Flavor is sweet carmel malts and biscuit, Not much hops here. Not my favorite fest beer, but i seem to buy a 6 er every year. KyotoLefty (1371), Kyoto, Japan Aug 29, 2009 Bottole. Medium amber-brown color. Caramel nose. Decent caramel malts with pretty good balance. A bit too fruity, though, with some bubblegum flavor. Malt richness and softness really doesn’t come through. Tasty, though.
