COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover’s dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter’s heartier brews.

It may be hard to believe, but this little number tops the Beck's Octoberfest. Who'd have thought something this good came from America?

A nice smooth Octoberfest beer. Nice red/brown color, good head. Very enjoyable.

Reddish brown and bubbly. This has a sharp alcohol taste that is overshadowed(read: rescued) by a slight sweet roasty flavor I cant put my finger on. It is ok as far as oktoberfests go. Not very fresh, eh whatever.

Smells and looks better than it tastes. Not a true Octoberfest in my book. There's much better out there gang, look around.

on the sweet malty side, but enough hops to balance. Very smooth, but unfortunatly thin

Not half-bad for a macro attempt at an old style. It works for the season, and it's very drinkable. Of course there's better out there, but you can find this in a pinch at the corner store when you want a brew out on a fall color tour.

Copper color, very malty and some yeast flavor. Fruit taste lingering in the background. Some hops but not much to speak of. Overall decent and good for the fall season. But nothing I would rave about either.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2012 Very simular to the vienna style offering from sam adams in my opinion... slight yeastiness.. maybe just a little more malty. Wonderful appearance!

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2010 Nice spiciness, good malt, very easy drinking. ---- previous rating 18 Mar 2003 somewhat malty, not very bitter, this is a typical SA offering: far better than BMC, but nothing like a good micro. drinkable

Bought at De Man van Drank, Rotterdam. Nice red amber color, firm frothy head. Fruity, somewhat smoky aroma. Lots of tropical fruit (peach) and pear in the flavor. Some hopbitterness. Nice and clean beer, maybe a bit thin.
