COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover’s dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter’s heartier brews.

Well this smells great and has a pretty copper color. Good start. The taste is very sweet and finishes the same, a tad off though. As we venture further to the bottom it begins to get a little swilly and the taste swampy. Not as bad as it sounds though. I dont think I could do a 6 pack of this. Finishes watery, kind of like iced tea.

A little more bitter at the end than I would like, gets better when warmer. It is malty and well balenced and because of its freshness was the best Oktoberfest I had this year. This is a Sam Adams that I would buy again and again.

Very Nice OctoberFest. Sweet Caramel nose, very nice amber color with a small off-white head. Sweet malty start with a slight bitter tang in the finish. Overall a decent bottled OctoberFest.

Very good from the tap. I have had both and would rate the bottle a little lower. Love to see this beer on the shelves each year though.

This beer has been such a delight for the past 3 years. I highly recommend this beer on tap. Sam Adams doesn’t taste nearly as good bottled and shipped; freshness is critical.

reminds me a bit of killians red but has very little aftertaste, I enjoy this beer quite a bit. Not quite a great beer but the flavor is clean and not much aftertaste.

An amber beer with a good head. The aroma is a nice fruitiness. The flavor is very filling and of a good maltblend, it ends on a slight bitter note. A nice beer.
