COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover’s dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter’s heartier brews.

My favorite domestic octoberfest so far. Very authentic and tasty. Malty, sweet, and medium/full bodied.

Slightly sweet, just a hint of syrupy aftertaste. Solid beer, quite palatable.

Good, complex flavor. Was forced to drink it out of a bottle so I couldn’t have the full experience. Lacks the horse**** flavor of Spaten Oktoberfest, German or not.

Not very special. Pretty ordinary but not bad. Not worth 3 bucks.

Come this time of year, there’s only one octoberfest I can find, this is it. the head died nearly the second I poured it. Rather light, but tasty.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2003 Pours a deep amber, with a beige head that is small and diminishes to a ring pretty quick, lightly lacing on the way down. Aroma is of sweet toast, with a bit of hops spread on it. Flavor is mostly toasty in the front, sweet in the middle, and just plain boringo on the finish. Medium body, semi-dry ending, flavors get muddier as it warms up a bit, carbonation is pretty lively.

By far the best American Oktoberfest I’ve had. The aroma is nice and uncomplicated, just lightly sweet malt. The appearance is typical for an Oktoberfest. The flavor is good, well-balanced with no more hops than necessary, although depending on how old the bottle is, the malt may not be at optimum sweetness. Nothing to write home about in the mouth-feel department. Overall, a tasty little brew.
