COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover’s dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter’s heartier brews.

At first I really didn’t like this beer at all. The taste was a little bit burnt for my liking. But as I reach the end of the case, it seems to be getting better. This is definitly an acquired taste, but just one I haven’t quite gotten yet.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2003 - dark amber color, fruity-hoppy aroma; hoppy-fruity flavor, slightly roasted along with bitterness in the aftertaste. Highly textured with good body.

My roomate took it for a test drive, and well it handled like a corvette. Okay, I know that was way out there but what I mean is it suprised me. It looked great, and it tasted pretty darn good, but I wasn’t fond of the aftertaste.
