COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover’s dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter’s heartier brews.

A great looking beer but the 2001 version did not taste as good as past years.

My first seasonal beer, I didn’t know quite what to expect. The beer i very pretty nice dark orange color, and a quite different and refreshing taste, good job.

Even though this beer isn’t really my style, I give it a thumbs up. Good quality beer.

I hated this. I bought it around Halloween and I still have two left in the fridge. I have a friend who likes it so I’ll dump it on him next time he’s over.

Disappointing, considering other SA brews. Not malty or hoppy enough. Appearance is dead-on-- pumpkin colored, with a spectacular head. Not enough palate for a marzen. Considering I preceded this with a Pearl, I expected more contrast.
