Commercial Description:
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover's dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter's heartier brews.

Nice red color, with no head. A nice smell of smokey malts with a hint of leather. A metallic-carmel taste. Not bitter at all, with a minimum ’’wine-y’’ aftertaste.

Bottle @ LCRBM 08: Poured a orange copper color with a white head. The aroma is sweet malts. Taste is sweet with toffee and malts, finish still has a bitterness to it that makes it balanced Maezen.

Amber pour with small head, taste is sweet and malty, quite a lot of sweetness in the finish, tiny hops, decent enough beer.

Tastingsession LCRBM08.
Copper colored brew. Sweet aroma. Malty, sweet flavor. Watery texture.

Pours very (too?) clear with thick, even head. Malty aroma is clean, wholegrain supermarket bread with nuts. Highly carbonated but not prickly, slick and slightly oily texture. Sweet bready finish reminds me a lot of OK Springs Pale Ale, that brings back memories...Lots of caramel. Pretty simple and thin.

Copper amber orange with a light cream colored lacing head. Aroma of sweet malt, mild nuts, grain, toffee - kinda boring like most Octoberfests. Taste of toasted malt, caramel and what I like to think of as Vienna malt and German Hops, not sure on their names. It’s okay.

Bottle (LCRBM08): Copper coloured with a small off-white head; nutty-malty nose with a tinge of molasses; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, rather light bodied for a beer of 5.4%; nutty-bitter finish. Disappointing...........

Bottle@LCRBM08. A clear copper colored beer, with a small beige head. the aroma of caramel, some hops and malts. The taste is a little fruity ans malty, with some hop bitters. The aftertaste is a little bitter.
