| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2008 Deep rusted copper with a nice initial 2 finger head, settles down to some lace at the bottom and coats the glass uniformly...a sweet candied fermented fruits dominate the flavor profile with a slight tin tinge on the end... the body is kind of thin... there is something on the finish that is kind of weird and indescribable. 502Flavors (617), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 1, 2008 12 oz bottle into shaker. Great clear amber pour with some honey brown notes and a good looking large lasting lacing light brown head. Aroma is faint, almost non existent (though it is pretty cold right now) - light nutty malt aroma and not much else. Flavor is actually pretty full - nice and nutty with a bit of dough character. It is medium bodied on the palate - smooth too. Overall: good fall brew, better than expected, and one of the most flavorful octoberfests I have had (I haven’t had that many though, but this brew makes the style intriguing to me). Way better than I expected. Bungalo22 (326), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 1, 2008 This was sweet, smooth and full of fall like spices. It poured a nice orange with a small but decent head. It was not exactly light bodied but it wasn’t full either. It’s a bit nutty and sweet with a nice bitter balance. A decent Oktober but not in the upper crust by any means. leftyguiatrjoe (1), , Maryland, USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 1, 2008 I really liked this one. The thing that got me was the aftertaste, which was wonderfully spicy. There was very little carbonation, but it was easy to drink. Overall, its a great beer. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2008 Poured a dark orange, amber color with an inch or two of khaki colored head. The taste is smooth, mouthfeel is creamy, and the finish contains just a hint of hops which are nicely offset by the honey and spice flavored malts. A tad thin and under carbonated, but very drinkable. A great beer to bring in the fall. lithy (1650), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 30, 2008 Orange amber pour with a couple fingers of just off white head. A cool swirling carbonation in the Sam Adams New Glass. Sweet amber and red malts but slightly metallic. Great taste only a little on the thin side. Sweet honeyed malts, no hops, this one is better pretty warm, harsher when cold and I wish the finish lingered longer. mmmbeer (744), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2008 12 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured non transparent darkened copper, medium carbonation, creamy off tan head formed and lasted for a few minutes. Aroma of caramel, toffee, and malt. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt is highly delectable, caramel notes in the middle, finish trails with a note of allspice. Let autumn begin!
