Commercial Description:
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover's dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter's heartier brews.

Bottle. Reddish orange in color. Smell of malts. When they say a malt lovers dream, they don’t lie. A truely malty beer that is smooth and sweet. Nice Marzen.

12 oz. bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Reddish color with a medium head. Very malty aroma with some caramel. Grainy taste with fairly heavy fruity notes (apple, citrus). Medium bodied.

Pours an amber color with a small mediumsized white head, which dies after a while. The aroma is of malt, caramel with notes of citrusy hops. Pretty good. The taste is quite sweet with notes of malt, caramel and citrusy hops. Quite nice. The palate is very average, a bit thin, with not that much carbonation. It’s an highly drinkable beer, though not that exciting.
