Commercial Description:
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover's dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter's heartier brews.

Well, This wasn’t bad. But I don’t think I would ever get it again. I had this on tap at TGI Fridays. It poured a hazy amber. The aroma was very faint. The flavor followed suit, being slightly watery. I was looking forward to a good brew, but was met with a truly low end beer,

Pours orange with fluffy head. Smell is caramel and malt. Taste is slight fruit and sweet but balanced by the hops. This is my first rated Octoberfest and I’m happy with it. I can’t wait to try another!

Nice dark amber color with a tanish head. Carmel and malt flavors, slightly sweet with enough bitterness to counter balance the taste. Worth waiting for.

Date: 9/14/2008 Source:Food Lion Caramelized malts with some earthy hop notes and bare hint of fruit. Clear orange/amber with medium rocky tan head. Clean malt dominates flavor with just enough bitterness to balance. Medium body and mouth feel. Finish is relatively dry, clean, very slightly bitter. I always look forward to this beer each year.

Deep amber colour with a brownish head. Malty, with caramel and brown sugar tones both in flavour and aroma.

Pretty good Octoberfest, really a great introduction to the style. It’s not perfect, by any means, but a great malty flavor that satisfies if you’re in a place that doesn’t have a lot of good beer.

Bottle. Pretty decent in the style. Appears reddish amber with a thin off-white head that would not lace. Aroma is potent cerealy malt, hints of caramel. Nice malty flavor with a dry finish. Rich full feel in the moth with a dry bitter finish.

12 oz bottle at Jeff’s block party drank out of my New Belgium glass. Wow nothing memorable about this beer at all. Copper body, medium body, weak malty aroma, slightly malty flavor. The only thing I took away from this beer was a tick. One more under my belt and just about tenthousand to go untill I am the ultimate rater.
