Commercial Description:
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover's dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter's heartier brews.

All I can say is that it’s one of the best lagers I’ve ever drank. It’s almost like a pale ale to me. It tastes great, has a good ’bite’ to it and it only takes two for me to feel nice and relaxed.

Pours clear dark copper with small off white head. Sweet malty aroma with mild hoppiness. Sweet flavors of toffee, caramel and bread with a slight hop bitterness. Medium body with verage carbonation. An average Octoberfest that is very drinkable.

This beer is more sentimental than anything else. My gateway craft brew. A beautiful red with a skinny head. Little bit of sweet aromas. Balanced amount of sweet malt and mildly bitter hops. Finishes with a sour twang. Full bodied and highly drinkable.

pous a nice orange amber with a thin white head. Aroma is deep biscuity malt. Some light toffee. Flavour is medium sweet toasty maltiness. caramel, Low carbonation makes this very drinkable. Good balancing bitterness keeps the finish smooth.

Say, I really was surprised on this one. On tap at Sushi Love in Durham. Caramel-orange pour with a creamy off white head with pinkish/orange tint. Creamy nose; some spice, dark fruit. Hop presence, but more malty. Toffee and caramel and orangish cream. Finished it much quicker than I realized. A very easy to drink beer.

One of the Boston Beer Co’s better efforts. Pours a beautiful dark copper, but aroma isn’t much to write home about- equal to that of a light beer. Taste is a bit of dark fruit, lots of caramel, malty. Not too much hop presence here. Quality session brew.

Poured a dark amber with a thick, fluffy white head. Smells lager-ish with perhaps some hints of citrus. Tastes pretty much how it smells which leaves a little something to be desired. Body seems about right, but the flavor is a little lacking.

Deep amber with fair white head. Good lacings. Taste is roasted malts with some bitter euro-type hops. Nice sessionable beer. I’ll have another please.
