Commercial Description:
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover's dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter's heartier brews.

In my opinion, this is the best beer Sam Adams has. The spices are nice and smooth, and it still has that Sam Adams flavor making this their best brew. I love the month of October!! Thank you Octoberfest!!

A dark reddish-brown color topped with a thin head. Not my favorite Samuel Adams but still pretty solid. The aroma is mild, some spice and caramel malt. Smooth and easy drinking, perhaps a touch thin. Flavors a little nutty, plenty of malt character, and subtle hops. Decent beer.

Bottle. Pours a dark reddish copper with big fizzy beige head. The aroma is grainy with some hay, some sweet fruity notes (plum? orange?) and a hint of biscuit. The flavor is pretty tame, with bready malt, faint toast, and a touch of woody hops in the finish. The alcohol is detectable. It has a certain flavor to it that is distinctly Samuel Adams to me. Kinda like a stronger version of the Boston Lager.

Sorry for touting this one up, but it’s the first beer I ever bought, and I look forward to getting it every year. A good tail-gating beer. Not much substance to this review, but this beer gets me pumped for football

This is a really solid Oktoberfest beer, and one of the best brews that Sam Adams makes. They should really carry this all year round, because it is very good. Very malty, kind of hoppy, and you can taste some spices in here, like cinnamon, and maybe a little orange peel. All in all, this one competes well with German Octoberfest beers.

Simply the best ever! A malt lover’s heaven! The color is absolutly magnificant to witness. But taste is all there. Nothing weak about this beer at all. It has everything! Goes great with steaks, and pork. Awesome!

Good beer from SA. Give me a true German Octoberfest ANY day of the week. But if this is on the menu it is worth a try. Good with food. Dark amber color, but the head isn’t as foamy as I would expect. Not bad...not great.
