Commercial Description:
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover's dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter's heartier brews.

I was surpised too see that I had not had this one. Very good brew. Pours an amber-copper with a nice off white head. Malty, spicey aroma. Great malty taste. Surpisingly crisp. This was one of the better sam adams brews I’ve had.

Smells like a typical domestic beer, pours to a copper orange body, light body beer that is slight carbonated with a hint of caramel

Poured a reddish, amber color with a dense head.Sweet and somewhat floral aroma. Smooth entry with a malty mouthfeel followed by a finish that includes bread flavors and a slightly hoppy bitterness. Very good.

Comes out of the bottle a coppery clear amber with a decent off-white, slightly orange head. Aroma is malty with hints of hops and spice. Flavor is firmly malty and has touches of hops and toffee and even a nutty hint. Texture is fairly smooth and rather fizzy and lively. A good beer for the season.

Bottle sample. One of the beers responsible for turning me on to better beer a few years back. Pours clear amber with a huge tan head. Creamy caramel malt aroma with some grainy corn character and noble hops. Creamy caramel malt flavor with a dry hop finish. All these years later I still really enjoy this one.

I needed some more bottles for homebrewing and boy wasn’t this just the right choice. A nice dunkle beer, with a touch of sweetness on an otherwise yeasty nose. Mild flavor like ’malt tea’ is enjoyable, though bland.

From the tap. Poured a rich amber with a small head that disappeared quickly. Great malt flavor: Slightly sweet, but not syrupy. True to the style. I could enjoy a lot of these in succession.

Poured a clear dark golden liquid with a medium sized slightly dirty brown foam that left some lacing. It hada smell of bread, caramell and metall. It tasted of caramell, bread, malt, burned toast and something sweet, sugar for instance. It was smooth and easy to drink but also a bit watery. Decent lager.
