Commercial Description:
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover's dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter's heartier brews.

Pours nice orange color with thin white head. Pleasant aroma with slight hoppiness. Taste is slightly sweet (hint of coffee & caramel) but not overpowering. Leaves a clean aftertaste. Excellent autumn brew. Impressed!

Bottle. Dark copper pour with small, diminishing head. Aromas of grain, grass, earth, and spice. Flavors of grain, caramel, spice, and a sweet corn note. Consumable. Still has that SA generic/stamped quality but is quite nice.

A pretty good octoberfest beer. Dark amber color with flavors of malts, caramel. Refreshing and satisfying. When this comes out I always know it’s time for October.

Bottle. Poured a clear Redish-Orange in color with a small white head that dissapated quickly. The aroma was sweet with a hint of caramel and a scent of hops. The flavor was mildly hoppy and slightly sweet with a malty aftertaste. The mouthfeel was smooth and creamy. Overall a fine representation of a German Octoberfest.

Ganska behärskad, väl avvägd, med perfekt passform för strupen. Ett försiktigt överdrag av sötma som gör den lättdrucken utan att bli slät och ointressant. Samuel Adams visar som vanligt en hög lägstanivå.

Quite nice. It tastes like a lighter version of Long Trail’s Double Bag if any New-Englanders are familiar. One of my top 5 Sam-Adams, but that isn’t saying much... On a seperate note, I compared this to Spaten’s Oktoberfest, I like Sam Adam’s WAY better. Spaten had a skunky note similar to other European imports. Maybe it’s better across the pond, but even without the skunkyness, Sam Adams still had a nicer body.

Nice caramelly aroma which I always like. Beautiful clear orange color with small white head. Flavor is full of caramel malty taste with some hops in the end. Medium body. Overall a nice, tasty octoberfestbier. My third Samuel Adams and I’ve liked them all.

Draft. 16 oz. Honestly I am not that impressed with this offering from S.A. I had it on three occasions so far this season, and either time it was because there wasn’t much else I would want. This beer is my first Octobefest since drinking "real" beers (or real good beers...), and I think I want to try out some different offerings. I am not to impressed. It poured a nice golden amber orange color with a thick foamy white head. Aroma was sort of funky with a bit of spice? Taste was awkward, leaving me slightly uncomfortable (even still, I order it again, nevertheless). It reminded me of a different kind of beer, something I don’t like, but can’t put a finger on. Overall, pretty blah. I hope that other Octoberfest beers I try will be better.
