COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover’s dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter’s heartier brews.

Poured into a tulip glass. A nice amber color, transparent with a only a short white head and quickly disappeared to only barely cover the surface. Smells good. Obvious wet malt, caramel and candy. A little watery at first. Then a malt flavor being held back from being too much. Good balance there. Maybe too balance since there is not any flavors really coming through. Very carbonated, light bodied. Nice to drink except for the high carbonation level.

bottle. Amber with small head. Pretty straightforward marzen. Not going to blow anyone away with flavor, but solidly average.

Caramel aroma, taste is caramel, toffee, malty, bready, aftertaste is short. Crisp and refreshing for a football game!

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a dark amber colored body with a white head that fizzles out extremely quick with no lacing. The smell was malts, grains, and bread, but gives the essence of fall. The taste had some caramel, malts, and a decently low hop balance finishes really crisp and clean. The palate was about light/medium bodied with moderate carbonation smooth and refreshing. Overall, this is good for what it is.

The first time I Tasted it was great, but the second time wasn't. You can smell the sweetness and spices. Dark amber color. An ok beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, pours amber with a small head. Nothing real fancy here for taste, just an average beer.

It pours a light amber orange with a pillowy off white head. Light toasted malt notes in the nose. More toast on the tongue with light floral from the hops. Definitely on the drier side (that’s a plus!). Not heavy or sweet. Solid

Sam Adams is starting to baffle me with the similarities in their beers. Not much flavor here. Pretty much all I want to say.

12 oz bottle. The pour is a dark amber with hints of orange. There is a decent off white head that fades down to a nice film, leaving a minimal lace at best. The aroma is pretty heavy in malt. There are some nice bready characteristics to is and a soft subtle hoppiness to it. The flavor is similar. There is a good caramely maltiness, and it's not overly drawn out. The flavor has a nice lingering slightly bitter aftertaste, and the mouth feel is light, but decent ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
