Commercial Description:
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover's dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter's heartier brews.

An amber beer with a good head. The aroma is a nice fruitiness. The flavor is very filling and of a good maltblend, it ends on a slight bitter note. A nice beer.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Very pretty reddish - actually very reddish beer with a somewhat confined head. Very aromatic and extremely tasty. Sweetish spiced virh moderate hoppiness. Well of course the Americans also brews an OctoberFest Bier, and they do it well.

Bottled. Reddish brown. Buttery caramel aroma. Roasty with clean crystal malt character. Not even remotely similar to an oktoberfest beer. After a promising nose it just dies.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Malty aroma and flavour. Has a slight citric bitter edge to the maltiness. Sweet flavoured wtih caramel and toffee notes. Otherwise straight forward brew, lacks a bit of finesse to work out perfect as a an Oktoberfest brew, but decent as it is.

Bottle at LCRBM08. Good caramelly aroma, hint of pepper. Clear amber colour, small head. The flavour is caramelly, pleasant. Like a weak American brown ale.
