COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover’s dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter’s heartier brews.

Okay head and retention. Average color, a little cloudy. aroma was mild and a little nutty. Taste was nutty with a good malty aftertaste. The mouthfeel was smooth and lingering. Better than most Octoberfests.

Can a beer be cozy? It has a smooth flavor, almost brown color, the head didn’t last much.

Looks like a decent copper colored brew with a decent head. Smells like a roasted malt Oktoberfest brew. Then there is the taste. Little on the sweet side, roasted malts, and a wierd cream soda flavor. Swear someone dumped some A&W cream soda in that batch. If you like cream soda, and I do, it’s not bad but it is far far away from being a typical Oktoberfest. That my be why they used the C instead of the traditional K on the lable.

12 oz bottle from Biggie Wine & Liquor. Clear light amber appearance with a diminishing white head. Aroma of Munich malts, toasted grains and noble hops with a touch of toffee and caramel. Similar flavor, pretty mild with light sweetness and light bitterness. Light to medium body with a crisp feel and ample carbonation. Overall, not too bad, pretty solid for an American Oktoberfest.

33 cl systembolaget. En mycket trevlig öl som jag delade med Linda Hjalmarsson en fredagkväll.

Clear; lovely burnished copper color. Fizzy head dissipates quickly. Very mild malt aroma; very simple, predominantly sweet, malty flavors. Not much there there. Far too simple to be interesting, though certainly inoffensive. If offered a bottle I would drink it but I’m not going to buy another 6-pack.

Tapper was orange-gold with a moderate head and lacing. Aroma was of malts and mild hops. Taste was nice with malts predominantly present. Finished with a mild hop bitterness. Palate was good. Overall, a good Octoberfest.

"nice toffee sweetness here, but otherwise it’s a very unassuming beer. not bad, but totally avoidable, as Sam Adam’s brews several beers way more exciting than this one. 2009-even a little more boring than year’s past. 2011 - 3.0 2012 - richer, fuller flavor & body! 2013 even better. What gives? My palate ain’t changing that much."
