On tap. Pours a moderate orange/gold color, no head to speak of. Aroma is pretty subdued, but slightly bready and yeasty. Tastes sweet, malty, and caramely, but it’s a bit too sweet for my tastes. Best option at Red Robin this time of year, at least here, though.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
’Deep malt complexity and roasty sweetness’ it says on the label, and I would agree somewhat. It is malty and smells it, and it’s certainly sweet. Not that I find it pleasant or drinkable... for me it is far too cloyingly sweet and caramelly. Do not find this complex at all, but overall pretty bland and blah.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Served from a bottle to a Sam Adams Boston Lager glass. Pours a rich dark amber, with a thick, persistant head. Aroma is malt and caramel. Taste is the same malt and caramel, but with a light bitterness. The body is kind of light and the finish a bit short, though. I would’ve expected something a bit bolder, I think. Far from being a bad beer.

Marzipan and toasted bread aromas. Taste is toasted bread, some honey, and caramel. I do notice a subtle apple like hop bite in the finish accompanied by light pepper spice.

On tap Pours an amber color with a thick off white head that just doesn’t quit. Malty, lightly toasted & sweet cheap beer aroma. Very sweet malty beer and incredibly smooth. Not true to style but drinkable. I guess is what octoberfest is all about. Excellent drinkability & flavor thats a little on the cheap malt liqoure side but done better.
