Very smooth, drinkable, even when warm. I got a sweet fruity and malty taste. Very watery, expecially toward the end.
JMFG (1117), Florida, USA Aug 28, 2008 Bottle. Clear copper color, thin light tan head. Slightly sweet grainy aroma, caramel, very mild earthy hops. Sweet crisp bready taste, light sweet hop finish. Something about the back end of the taste was off, but overall not bad. oteyj (322), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA Aug 28, 2008 Pours copper with modest, dissipating head. Aroma is of grain and sweet malt. Flavor is much the same- sweet malt presence with a slightly hoppy balance. Quite drinkable and light on the palate. Decent, but not outstanding. fredandboboflo (471), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 28, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of sweet malt, grains, hopping reminiscent of Boston Lager. Flavor probably the grainiest, hoppiest and most bitter of any of the limited oc/ktoberfests I’ve had. Malt seems more toastier and less plainly sweet in this one as well. Interesting, although the more I drink, the more the hops make think I’m drinking a slightly tweaked Boston Lager. That said, I love me a Boston Lager. In any case, interesting take on the style and very nice. jkaiser (74), USA Aug 27, 2008 Goregous halloween pumpkin orange color. Lite head and not much lacing. Lots of malts, but not off putting sweetnes. Slight bitterness. Medium bodied, lots of malt dancing with the hops gives a mouthful of warm autumm flavor going down. A nice one for the start of the fall. joeyplush (43), Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 27, 2008 Pours a dark copper color with a decent, off-white head. Malty taste with a very slight spiciness. Medium carbonation, head fades rather quickly. Medium body overall, a very drinkable Oktoberfest.
