The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover’s dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter’s heartier brews.

Beautiful amber color. A warm, friendly taste - a roaring fireplace, great friends nearby kind of thing - with a bit of a bite.

Clear orange/copper with an off-white head. Fruity, carmel, and slightly hoppy. The finish is a bit short.

Amber pour with a decent khaki head. Aromas of toast, light caramel, bread, and noble spice. Fairly sweet, fairly bitter. Medium bodied, somewhat oily, with a toasty drying finish. A decent brew, but not as good as I remember.

Pours amber, nice head. Aroma is richly malty. Fruity floral hops much more noticeable in the the taste than the aroma, where they nicely balanced the malt. Overall quite pleasant but not spectacular.

Scopey (9768) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2015
Tap at Logan Terminal E. It pours clear deep amber with a small white head. The nose is sweetish, caramel, toffee, fudge, toasty grain, brown bread and cereal. The taste is bitter - sweet, toasty, toffee, salted caramel, bread, cereal and nut with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Simple, but drinkable enough.

Foamy white head, pours a deep Amber color. Color if the highlight of this beer. Aromas of pennies, and stale caramel, light malts. Weak flavor profile. Leaves dry palate.

Fiche technique Style: Oktoberfest Format: 12 oz Taux d?alcool : 5,3 %

A quite opaque beer with a distinct amber color. Limited head that dissolves quickly. Smells very much like one would expect from an Octoberfest. Toasty and floral scent. I feel like the carbonation entirerly dominates this beer, so much so that any additional flavor is in the background. Which is a huge shame since this could be quite a compelling beer. After the carbonation-boom, it’s quite subtle - but that might be attributed to the fact that the initial kick numbs your buds. This beer looks and smells the part, but the feel is disastrous.

At RDU before big trip. Mediocre, lack of flavor or creaminess.......................
