Commercial Description:
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest has a rich, deep golden amber hue which itself is reflective of the season. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest is a malt lover's dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The beer is kept from being overly sweet by the elegant bitterness imparted by the German Noble hops. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of summer to the winter's heartier brews.

Beautiful, bright pumpkin coloring. A delicate aroma of spices and a flavor that doesn’t quite live up to its potential. re-rate: I’ve gained more of an appreciation for this beer over time. As an Octoberfest, its not bad at all. The lager qualtiy comes through very cleanly and the maltiness is quite tasty.

Clear amber color, everlasting head. Soft malt and caramel aroma with the right touch of hops. Flavor is nicely malty and sweet but isn't complete, something is missing. Finishes just the way an oktoberfest should. This was the last beer in a string of superior (and higher abv) beers but it stil held its own. Go sam!

Very pleased! Nice aroma & very tasty. Had a slight sweetness to it, just enough. I will be buying this every year! Was a big hit at all the football parties last year.

Good seasonal beer by Sam Adams. Nice bronze color, slight hint of fruit taste.

Poured amber color with thin but lasting tan head...smelled of malts, caramel, mild nuts...tasted crazy malty...a great Octoberfest (I hate this style)...

a generally decent beer. nothing exciting. basically... "eh." at first i thought that it was a bit too malty, but you get used to it after a little bit.

I think Märzens are just delightful creations. This is a very pleasant, smooth, agreeable Oktoberfest brew with a ’primarily malty’ feel / taste. It’s creamy and though with heft, light enough. It has been compared to an English ale, but I do think there is a considerable difference between English ale and a Märzen and my tendency is to opt for the Märzen. This is a good brew and though it won’t blow you away, it’ll relax ya.
