Not bad, but I was expecting a little better. There is a sweet corn syrup taste that is fairly noticable. Very malty, but not overly hoppy like Boston Lager. It also reminds me of H.C. Berger’s Bombay Express (though not as good as it once was) back before it became non-carbonated piss water.

Aug 7, 2008 This is one of my favorite beers of all time. I may start hording it to drink it throughout the year. It is a great complement to cold fall and winter nights.

does not count  Aug 5, 2008 deep amber brown color with lots of light bubbles. aroma is of toasty malt, and the head is delicate. it’s a good fall lager, nice and malty with a little bit of bitterness in the finish. i like this one; it’s nice and mild.

Jul 26, 2008 Orange-copper color with a small off-white head. Aromas of carmel and spices. Flavors are malty with a very fake tasting spicy "funk". Highly carbonated.

Jul 25, 2008 Bottle. One of Sam Adams best beers! Doesn’t have the same skunky tastes as most SA’s do. Refreshing brew from this company.
