12 oz. bottle. Poured rich golden amber with fluffy off white head which left little lacing as it dissipated. Light spicy aroma. Flavor of crisp light malt slightly tinged with toffee overtones. Thin bodied with mild hoppy finish. A very drinkable beer, but I had hoped for a bit more body and taste.

Aug 20, 2008 This is a sweet beer with caramel and toffee flavors. It has a touch of nutmeg and other spice. It pours orangy with a small head. It is an average october fest type beer. Best of the seasonal lineup.

Aug 19, 2008 12oz bottle served in a lager glass. Pours amber with very little carbonation, almost no head. Very faint smell of sweet malts. Bready flavor, light bitterness. Pretty boring.

Aug 15, 2008 pours a deep amber color with a thin lasting head. not a very strong aroma, but there is some burnt roast and some hops. taste is of bitter hops and some caramel. finish is mostly smooth with a little bit of bitterness in the end that sits on the back of your tongue. Overall, not a bad beer and one that I would drink again.

Aug 15, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear deep orange copper color with little head and and no lacing (it may be soap residue in the glass). Malty aroma with hints of caramel and spice. Flavor is in line with the aroma with a little bitterness in the finish to balance the sweetness. A little watery on the palate. Nice marzen that remids me that pretty soon I won’t have to cut the damn grass for a while.

Aug 11, 2008 Rich copper color that looks very good, but it’s down hill from there. Predominant flavor is chewy cardboard and stale malt with caramel in the background. I can barely finish this one really, but in all fairness, Oktoberfest beers are not my cup of tea in gerneral.
