not a huge fan of sam adams, and this is a BIG reason why. sometimes, they make some bad products. and sometimes they make something that flat out sucks. this is such a beer. pours dark and thick, immediate aroma of spices associated with xmas. head is ok. the taste is predominately cinnamon, citrus and nutmeg that kills anything else like the hops or malt. bad bitter aftertaste lingers on the palette. i dont often hate a beer, but this one goes straight to the sink to be poured out. and this is from someone that likes some ’theme" beers, like pumpkin ales. but this is just too much.

I’m not sure what they were going for in this winter beer. Sweet smell and taste of malts and spicy cinnamon. not a typical Sam Adams, but and ok drink. Medium body and slight bitter finish.

Somewhat sweet smell but also cinnamon and maybe caramel. Cinnamon smell and orange faintly in the background. Not too bad.

I may like this beer just because I love to say the name out loud. A reddish brown pour from a 12-oz bottle. Has a nice malty smell to it. The taste is a little spicy, with hints of ginger, raisan and orange coming through.

I liked this beer. Malty, spicey, fruity and easy to drink. Nice hop finish, but not as hoppy as the regular Sam Adams Boston Lager. This SA beer poured an nice foamy head and like others have said, is nice at Xmas.

Aroma of malt, spices, nutmeg, caramel. Red amber color with tan head. Tastes of cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel. I’m not a big fan of most spiced beer but this is an excellent Christmas beer!

The pour is a dark brown with a reddish hue. The nose is caramelized malt, molasses, a fruity note, with hints of spice. The taste is is medium body fruity with hints of citrus and hops. The finish is slightly bitter, but overall a good beer
