3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark brown copper color with a medium off white head that leaves decent lacing. Smells of cinnamon, caramel, orange, toffee a few other spices. Tastes of all the same things in the smell with a slight cookie flavor. Mouthfeel is oily and chewy with medium carbonation. Overall this is a really tasty winter seasonal, it has a lot of flavors integrated in it and is very complex. Really enjoyed it and wish it was available longer.

Looks fantastic poured into a big mug, massive durable head on top of a red/brown clear beer. Not much of a sniffer, just some general beer smells dominated by the malt. The flavor is better, restrained levels of spice (maybe a bit too much cinnamon) and quite sweet. There is a lingering orange aftertaste and slight bitterness. Good mouthfeel, lots of really fine carbonation. One of the better ’winter warmers’, a style I am no great fan of.

Pours clear reddish brown, without much lasting head. I smelled the holiday spices and a roasty caramel character. Tasted the caramel too, with a good bit maltiness. Overall enjoyed the beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle into glass. Dark mahogany color with medium of white head. Malt aroma with touch of cinnamon and ginger. Rich malt mouth, very full mouthfeel. Dodd are reasonably mild and notable mostly in the after taste. One of Sam?s better seasonal offerings.

Dark amber with a thick head and a spicy nose. Smooth intro with a mildly-carbonated mouthfeel, and a finish with hints of orange, cinnamon, ginger, and chocolate.

Very mild spices for a winter warmer. Lightly citrus and some ginger but they aren’t very assertive.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a thin off-white/light tan head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, molasses, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Very nice. Taste is a good, though somewhat weak, balance of the caramel malts and spices. It tastes like someone mixed holiday spices into a Boston Lager, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Thin mouth feel. Overall, this isn’t too bad, but not my favorite holiday ale.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep red/brown beer with small quickly fading tan head. Spicy and malty both in scent and taste. Easily pick up the cinnamon and ginger notes along with the slight citrus the Orange. Good winter holiday season beer to be sure. Pleasant mouth feel. Thick but not too thick.

Bottle from the winter seasonal sampler pack. Pours a dark color with a head that fades fast. Taste and smell is sweet sugary and nutty. Almost like a brown ale but a little sweeter. Not bad..not my favorite
