Spicy and bold, a big Christmas cookie of a beer. Samuel Adams Old Fezziwig Ale is bursting with spices of the season. With a remarkably full body and flavor it helps those long winter nights pass more quickly. The rich taste hits the palate with a depth of malt character ranging from sweet toffee and caramel notes to dark, roasty chocolate notes. Then the spices come in full force. Cinnamon, ginger and orange peel dance on the tongue bringing with them the celebratory spirit of the season.

Winter spices of cinnamon and ginger. Dark, smooth and a nice beer for a cold night by the fire.

Pours dark copper with light tan head. Aroma is of malts and spices. Taste is a bit underwhelming with a light mouth feel and lack of depth. Palate is light and finish is quick. Overall its decent enough to be in a holiday sampler offering.

After hearing the name I had to try this beer. I was not disapointed because the beer had a rich robust taste with an intresting flavor.

If I wanted a Christmas cookie, I would just eat a cookie. Wouldnt go out of my way to buy despite decent reviews. Its like "take all the Christmas pastry ingredients and dump em in and see what shakes". Comes in the holiday sampler, so might as well drink it, but definitely not a favorite.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2004 Dark Brown Color with medium head. Aroma is sweet and full of different smells. Flavor is malty and sweet. Full of different tastes. Amazingly complicated taste compared to normal beers, yet does have weak and too sweat of an aftertaste. Still a good pick up, though i have only seen it in Holiday Winter Variety packs.

Not too sure about this one. Seems to have a decent flavor up front, but the aftertaste kinda sucks. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer came in a combo pack and suprised me. Dark and smooth. If you can find it, pick up some.

Got this in the winter special 12 pack. Nice hoppy smell. Decent head. Amber color. Flavor was awesome with a slight bitter hop bite at the end of the bottle. Great stuff.
