brownaler (375), Topsail Beach, North Carolina, USA Oct 14, 2006 This beer is one of the favorite from my brothers. Has a clear ruby brown body and a large white head. Cinnamon and carmel in the body with a tinge of chocolate in the back. It’s a little thin for a winter beer, but satisfying.
CptGreencoat (16), Kettering, Ohio, USA Oct 10, 2008 Bottle in winter variety pack. Pours to a deep red with a beige head that never fully dissipates and laces the glass. The scent is light. You can smell hints of malt and some spices. The beer is the epitome of ’medium bodied,’ with present malts, spices, and fruits. Maybe a bit watery, though the spices will stick with you well after the beer is finished. All in all, it’s a very drinkable - and enjoyable holiday offering. borgination (95), Lee, Massachusetts, USA Oct 9, 2008 This had an excellent body with nice holiday spicy tones of cinnamon, nutmeg and even chocolate undertones. Aroma is inviting. A very decent holidy beer. nqualls (422), Tennessee, USA Sep 18, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark red with a whitish head. Aroma of spices and not much else. Flavor is of malt and spices. This beer would be good if it was maltier and spicier. Beerman6686 (780), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 3, 2008 Pours a dark red color with an off white head. Aroma is pretty bland and hard to pull out anything but theres definately some spices, specifically cinnamon. Flavor is more bountifull than the aroma, though not by much. A nice mellow maltiness with some herbs and spices to liven things up. Nothing speical but a really drinkable spiced beer. derekbang (129), Indiana, USA Jul 20, 2008 As others mentioned, decent ale with some holiday spices to make it more interesting. Had as part of a variety pack. Worth trying and enjoyed what I had but have never thought to go track one down again.
