COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams is currently in the process of brewing up a German style called ďradler.Ē The name radler translates to ďcyclist,Ē A 50/50 (ish) blend of beer and lemonade. (Like a shandy). Perfect for any summer day, Samuel Adamsģ Porch Rocker was inspired by traditional Bavarian Radlers that mix beer with German-style lemonade. For our bright and citrusy Radler, we blended a Helles beer with lemon for a fresh-squeezed lemon taste, effervescent sweetness, and slightly tart, refreshing finish. A light malt character and hint of hops balance out this summer brew.

Finally found this nothing special kind of like their version of Bud Light Lime which has been out for years.... Expected something with a little more body. Not bad refreshing. Sweet light color taste more lime than lemon. Light body. If in the mood for a lime beer which is seldom would buy Bud Light and save a couple bucks a sixer.

Bottle. Aroma of skunky lemon. Poured a clear light yellow color with a nice white top that lasted. I tasted notes of lemon, citrus, and dough. Not good on the palate at all.

Crisp German malts with lemon extract...and floor-cleaner. Itís not wholly unpleasant but just a little "off." Straw-yellow, lots of carbonation. Not much to look at, but DOES look rather refreshing, to be fair. The lemonade hits the front of the tongue first, and pretty much continues on the back end. It tastes like lemonade (good) with a very weak ale (ie. a lager (not as great). The feel is slick and somewhat oily. There is nothing bad about this beer, other than that itís really a beer for non-beer drinkers. I guess thatís not the most horrible thing. But itís not really anything but a lawnmower refreshment.

I like it. Enough said. Drink it on a hot day on a boat. Your buddies drinking Busch Light and Bud LIght will be envious. You canít go wrong with this or Summer Shandy.

12oz bottle. Golden color, no head. Aroma of lemon soda and malt. Tastes of flat beer on a dirty lemon Sun Drop. Kinda gross. In fact, its now my least fave Sam Adams! (3396)

Bottle. Aroma has big notes of lemons and light notes of cereal malts. Medium yellow hue with a small mostly diminishing white head that left no lace. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is light bodied and watery soft. Overall a very refreshing and drinkable beer. Achieves what is set out to be. However, no desire to drink again.

Bottle. Pours thin and translucent with a cheddar orange body and no head. Aroma is lemon punch with a diet lemon/lime soda. Flavor is a light lemon Pledge and saccharin blend, with a hint of grassy wheat in the finish. Average and tingly on the tongue. Meh.

Theyíre taking it back. Sam Adams has stepped up and is taking back the term Porch Rocker. Oh wait... thatís someone else and something somewhat similar. Anyway, had this from a bottle. Pours a clear gold, looking a lot like the agave syrup I recently bought because everyone keeps talking about agave syrup and so I had to see what the fuss was all about and it turns out agave syrup is actually quite nice thank you very much, under a medium to large white head. Sweet and lemony, smells a lot like lemon Pine-Sol if it were made into a soda. Flavor seems to follow it, lemon soda, with just the faintest hint of sweetness and then some graininess and yeast. I hadnít bothered to read anything about the beer before trying it and was immediately reminded of a bunch of shandies I had tried from the Caribbean, except this isnít cloying and terrible. Itís actually quite nice. Finishes up with a bit of grainy bitterness and a touch of lemon. Iím impressed. Itís not a great beer perhaps, but itís rather tasty and I was not unhappy to drink it.

Artificial lemon and lime on the nose. Clear amber, thin head. Lemon and bran flakes flavor, grainy and sweet, but not unpleasant. Finishes doughy and wheaty. Iím actually considering using lemonade instead of milk in my breakfast cereal now. Refreshing and enjoyable, but more similar to Sierra Mist than beer.
