COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams is currently in the process of brewing up a German style called “radler.” The name radler translates to “cyclist,” A 50/50 (ish) blend of beer and lemonade. (Like a shandy). Perfect for any summer day, Samuel Adams® Porch Rocker was inspired by traditional Bavarian Radlers that mix beer with German-style lemonade. For our bright and citrusy Radler, we blended a Helles beer with lemon for a fresh-squeezed lemon taste, effervescent sweetness, and slightly tart, refreshing finish. A light malt character and hint of hops balance out this summer brew.

Golden with a slight haze and a white head. Smells like ole’ lemon peel and metal machinery. Tastes like a budlight lime-a-rita. Lots of lemon and sugar. More skanky malt taste on the finish than the inbev product though. This beer exists for one reason... lime-a-ritas were garnering too much market share.

I didn’t read the label so I was a bit surprised to get a mouth full of lemonade. I thought it was a summer seasonal ale. Anyway, nose is of fresh lemons, grass, and some earthy hops. Taste is similar to a shandy, but not all the way. it was more like a lemon flavored beer than a shandy, but not in a bad way. i honestly enjoyed this as I do most Sam Adams.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized fizzy head. Fair head retention. Aroma of tart lemon and pale malts. The taste is pale malts, some caramel, lemon finish. Medium bodied. Doesn’t seem like a true shandy... there’s actually some beeriness to this!

Very good summer beer a gift from friend on a hot Sunday afternoon. Lite and golden in color with a crisp white head. Aroma is very pleasant and fruity mostly lemon and peach. Easy drinking summer beer that is lite on alcohol at 4.5 % you can drink a few.

While shandies are never my preference, this beer is flavorful, light, and refreshing. I couldn't drink more than 1-2, but there are worse beers out there. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Straight from the bottle at a barbecue, as it was intended. Tastes like slightly floral lemonade. But then, why not just drink lemonade?

Did not like. If I wanted lemonade I would have had lemonade. Not this mongrel dog. Hey Sam! Why not try an avocado-flavored beer? A fish-flavored beer!

Poured a clear yellow with a fairly big, rocky head that dissipated quickly. Lemon aroma, something between a gummy bear and a floor cleaner, somewhat artificial. Taste has a light lemonade quality mixed with a light beer. Not terrible on a summer day, but I won’t be having this again.

12 oz. bottle - Pours a crystal clear golden color with a 1/2 finger thick white head. Very light lacing. Aroma is citrus and herbal hops. Flavor is lemon, lightly sweetened toasted malt, spice, and herbal hops. Light to medium body. A decent beer.
