Samuel Adams is currently in the process of brewing up a German style called “radler.” The name radler translates to “cyclist,” A 50/50 (ish) blend of beer and lemonade. (Like a shandy). Perfect for any summer day, Samuel Adams® Porch Rocker was inspired by traditional Bavarian Radlers that mix beer with German-style lemonade. For our bright and citrusy Radler, we blended a Helles beer with lemon for a fresh-squeezed lemon taste, effervescent sweetness, and slightly tart, refreshing finish. A light malt character and hint of hops balance out this summer brew.

Pleasant beer, right for summer. Nice aroma of grass and lemon; taste light and dry with nice balance of malts and lemon; good and different

Lemony sweet summer beer. Some flavorings over a light beer - lemon drops, a little clove. Can taste something artificial. Nothing great.

I think this beer accomplishes what it sets out to do. It tastes like a 50/50 mixture of beer and lemonade. Smooth, sweet lemon taste. Not what I’m looking for in a beer myself, but I think this is the right beer for someone on a hot summer day.

12 oz. can form Cash Wise in Watford. Appearance: finger white head, straw yellow, clear, light lacing. Aroma: heavy lemon, grassy, lager yeast. Palate: light body, average carbonation, light cloying texture. Taste: heavy lemon sweetness, not much else comes through. Overall, refreshing, but not something special.

Sampled from the bottle at the Oklahoma Craft Beer Fest. Pours a near clear pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. ARoma has notes of earthy grain and bread with a touch of earthy peach. Flavor has a sweet cereal, sweet grain and a bit of sweet peach with a touch of bread and lemon in the finish

Bottled. Poured clear Amber. Very lemonade aid flavor. I personally cannot taste anything other than lemon. If I it was a hot day and I wanted to chill on porch or backyard. This beer would be my choice

Pours a thin head on a clear straw body. The aroma is lemonade and grain. The taste is lemonade sweet with lemon tart to balance. The texture is crisp. Enjoyable.

12oz bottles, consumed over the previous weekend. Poured a slightly hazy yellow-copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma was notes of sweet fruits, lemonade, light yeast, bready malts. Sweet radler. Refreshing, but not really my cup of tea. I’d probably drink this again, but only if someone handed it directly to me.

(Bottle). Sample from Mike on my birthday. Aroma of citronella. Flavor of lemongrass and citronella. Strange and weird flavor but in a good way. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Like a light shandy. Easy to drink, always consistent. I’ve had this from a bottle.
